The Anaheim Ducks announced that center Mathieu Perreault is a game-time decision for Monday's Game 5 match against the Los Angeles Kings.
Perreault is nursing a lower-body injury that kept him out of Game 4. He's generally been dealing with nagging issues here and there. When healthy, he's been a solid contributor for Anaheim, especially in scoring 18 goals and 43 points despite being limited to 69 regular season contests. He has four points in eight postseason games as well.

Mathieu Perreault (lower body) called himself a game-time decision for Saturday night.
He said he will receive treatment for his lower-body injury throughout the day and he hopes to be able to play in Game 4 versus the Kings. Perreault received 10:45 of ice time during Thursday's win in Los Angeles. If he can't play then Rickard Rakell will probably take his place in the lineup.

Ducks center Mathieu Perreault said he's ready for Game 1 tonight in the first game of a second-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Kings.
Perreault missed the Ducks' most recent game -- Game 6 of the first round against the Dallas Stars -- with a lower-body injury but has skated the past three days. Perreault usually centers right wing Teemu Selanne and left wing Patrick Maroon on what has been an effective third line.

Mathieu Perreault is enjoying a nine-game point streak.
This is the first time he's ever recorded at least a point in more than five consecutive games. "I'm just taking it as they go right now," Perreault said. "It's the end of the season, and we're coming close to the playoffs. I feel good about myself." He has set new career-highs this season with 18 goals and 40 points in 62 games.

Mathieu Perreault's power play goal in the third period extended his point streak to eight games on Saturday.
It was Perreault's 18th goal of the season as he has eight points in his last eight games to give him 39 points in 61 games. Perreault saw first line power play time on Saturday as he played 4:20 minutes with the man-advantage. He is worth a look at this time in deep pools and is definitely someone to pick up in playoff pools as many think the Ducks will go deep into the playoffs and perhaps even win the Stanley Cup.

Mathieu Perreault scored a goal and registered an assist in Anaheim's 4-3 overtime loss to Edmonton Friday evening.
Perreault is now on a seven-game point streak with four goals and three assists in those games. Overall he has 17 goals and 21 assists in 60 games this season and he is enjoying his best season in the NHL in his career. Patrick Maroon also had a strong game with a goal and an assist, while Nick Bonino also scored for the Ducks.

Mathieu Perreault scored a goal in Anaheim's 3-2 loss to San Jose Thursday night.
Perreault now has four points in his last four games. Overall he has 15 goals and 19 assist in 57 games this season and he is enjoying his best season in the NHL in his career. Veteran forward Teemu Selanne scored the other goal for the Ducks, while Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf both assisted two goals in the loss.

Mathieu Perreault potted a very important goal against the Avalanche on Friday night.
After Ben Lovejoy's goal put the Ducks up 5-2, the Avs came back late in the second period with two straight to close the deficit. But Perreault answered with 49 seconds left with his 13th of the season. "Huge goal," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. "We kept saying, 'Shoot the puck!' It had eyes tonight."
