Gaborik is on a four-game point streak. He has six goals and 10 points in 10 playoff games, which should help negate his regular season woes as his five-year contract nears its expiration.

Marian Gaborik grabbed the NHL goal-scoring lead in the Stanley Cup Playoffs in a 3-1 win against the Anaheim Ducks in Game 2 of the western conference second round series on Monday night.
It was Gaborik's sixth goal in the postseason and he now has nine points in nine playoff games for the Kings. Defenseman Alec Martinez and Dwight King also scored in the victory.

Marian Gaborik became the first player in NHL history to score a tying goal with less than 10 seecond left in regulation time and then the winning goal in overtime.
It was quite the achievement for the fomer Ranger and Wild winger and has elevated Gaborik to cult hero status in LA for the time being. Gaborik will be looking for a contract after the season as he is a UFA and the Kings will no doubt be interested in bringing him back.

Marian Gaborik scored with seven seconds left in regulation to force overtime, and then scored 12:07 into the extra period to lift the Los Angeles Kings to a 3-2 victory Saturday night over the Anaheim Ducks in the opener of the first playoff series between the Southern California teams.
Gaborik redirected Anze Kopitar's shot past Anaheim goaltender Jonas Hiller for the winner. He also had an assist on the Kings' first goal of the night. Gaborik improved his playoff numbers to five goals and three assists. Anze Kopitar, who is enjoying a brilliant post-season, picked up assists on all three Los Angeles goals. He has nine assists in the playoffs as well as four goals. The Kings' other goal Saturday was scored on a power play in the first period by Alec Martinez, his first of the post-season.

Marian Gaborik had an assist in the Kings' 5-1 victory over San Jose on Wednesday.
Gaborik has improved to 5-0 in Game 7s. He had three goals and five points in seven contests versus the Sharks in the first round.

Marian Gaborik scored two goals in Los Angeles 6-3 win over San Jose to help them avoid elimination in Game 4 on Thursday night.
Gaborik now has three goals in four games in the postseason with an outstanding 33.3 shooting percentage. Justin Williams also scored two goals for the Kings, while Dustin Brown played a strong game with a goal and an assist. Tyler Toffoli had a goal and an assist for the Kings in the victory.

Marian Gaborik thinks the Kings need to play better around their own net in Game 4.
"It wasn't enough," Gaborik said of the Kings' performance in Game 3. "We played our best game of the series, that's for sure. I think we created a lot of chances. Especially in overtime, we didn't give them much, but they scored and they won the game." The Kings are down 3-0 in their series against San Jose. They'll try to avoid the sweep Thursday night.

Marian Gaborik scored a goal in Los Angeles' 4-3 overtime loss to San Jose Wednesday night at Staples Center.
It was Gaborik's first playoff goal with the Kings and it was a highlight-reel goal. He collected the puck near his own blue line and led a 3-on-2 charge toward the other end of the ice. Gaborik blew by Scott Hannan and cut across the crease before flicking a backhand shot past Antti Niemi. Jeff Carter and Jarret Stoll also scored for the Kings, while defenseman Drew Doughty added two helpers in the loss.

Marian Gaborik feels comfortable with the Kings.
"On the ice, it's been a bit of an adjustment to get used to the system and stuff," Gaborik said. "But I think I got that pretty quickly. It was a bit of a process, but it was just a matter of understanding and being on the same page with four other guys on the ice out there and just know what we're doing defensively." Gaborik had five goals and 16 points in 19 games after being dealt to Los Angeles. The Kings are counting on him to be one of their scoring leaders in the playoffs.
