Marian Gaborik scored his league-leading 11th goal of the playoffs in Wednesday's 5-4 double overtime loss to Chicago. He also added an assist in the contest to give him 18 points in 19 games with Los Angeles during the postseason. Gaborik had five markers and 16 points in 19 contests with the Kings in the regular season.

Marian Gaborik found the back of the net in the Kings' 5-2 victory versus Chicago on Monday. Gaborik set a new career-high with his 10th playoff goal. He also leads the league in 2014 postseason markers.

Marian Gaborik is still looking for his first point of the Western Conference Fina against Chicago. "We're talking about as a whole team to get in front of Crawford and make him feel uncomfortable there and keep him in net," he said. "That's what we have to do, myself as well. We just have to keep doing it." He racked up five shots in Game 3 after he had four in his previous two games of the series. Gaborik still leads all playoff scorers with nine goals and he sits third with 15 points in 17 contests.

"We want to keep them in their zone as much as possible and create chances. We had some zone time, but we have to generate more, too, to get to Crawford and to get some goals." The Blackhawks managed to hold Los Angeles' top line off the scoresheet in the first game of the series and posted a 3-1 victory as a result. The trio of Dustin Brown, Anze Kopitar and Gaborik entered Game 1 with 16 goals and 24 assists in 14 playoff games.

Marian Gaborik is the playoff leader with nine goals. Quite the addition by Kings general manager Dean Lombardi at the trade deadline. Gaborik ranks tied for second with 15 playoff points, too. There's only been game of the 14 he has played this postseason that he hasn't recorded a shot on net. The Blackhawks will have their hands full trying to keep him in check.

Kings coach Darryl Sutter doesn't think Marian Gaborik needed any time to adjust to the Los Angeles Kings' system after being acquired from Columbus. "I talked to Gabby when I got him in Winnipeg," Sutter said. "I told him he was playing with Kopi. I'm not going to go out of the way to change how he plays. Just give him a real basic guideline. I said it the next couple days after we got him. His hockey IQ is off the charts, so he can adjust in a hurry. He's been an easy guy, quite honest, to deal with." Gaborik has certainly paid off in the playoffs. He has a league-leading eight goals and 12 points in 12 postseason contests.

Marian Gaborik scored two goals in Los Angeles' 4-3 loss to Anaheim in Game 5 of their second round playoff series on Monday night. Gaborik now has eight goals and four assists in 12 games in the playoffs. He also has a fantastic 20.5 shooting percentage in the postseason. Trevor Lewis also scored for the Kings in the loss.

It can't be easy for Blue Jackets management to watch Marian Gaborik light up the Stanley Cup playoffs for the Los Angeles Kings. Especially because it'll be up to six more weeks before Columbus knows what it got in return from the Kings when it traded Gaborik on March 5. The return was a second-round pick this year or next and a conditional third-round pick this year.

Marian Gaborik certainly is doing better against the Ducks in the playoffs this year than he did against them in the post-season of 2003. Back then, Gaborik was with the Minnesota Wild and could not muster up a point in a playoff series against Anaheim. This year, as a member of the Los Angeles Kings, Gaborik has three goals and three assists in three games against the Ducks. He is on a four-game point streak and has six goals and 10 points in the playoffs.
