But I have all the confidence in our line that that's going to happen pretty soon."

Marian Gaborik had no points and a minus-one rating in his debut with Los Angeles on Thursday. Gaborik was playing alongside Anze Kopitar and Justin Williams and was upbeat about his showing. "We created some things," said Gaborik. "We got some great help by our (defense) offensively as well, so I think it's going to get better and better." The Kings still won 3-1 over Winnipeg.

Marian Gaborik is slated to play with Anze Kopitar and Justin Williams in his first game with Los Angeles on Thursday night. Dustin Brown will join Mike Richards and Jeff Carter on the second unit. The Kings appear to have some solid scoring potential on their top two lines now. Gaborik has six goals and 14 points in 22 games this season. Playing with Kopitar should give him a boost.

The Columbus Blue Jackets are retaining half of Marian Gaborik's remaining cap hit. The Kings needed the Blue Jackets to do that so that they could get in Gaborik under the cap. They're hoping that Gaborik can bolster their offense, but Kings GM Dean Lombardi also expects him to adjust his game somewhat to accommodate the Kings' system.
