Foligno (lower body) will not be taking the trip for Saturday's tilt in Boston, Paul Hamilton of WGR 550 reports.
EDGE Analysis
The injury must have occurred during Thursday's game against Boston, though there was no word of it until Friday. Foligno could return Tuesday to take on the Panthers at home, but expect the Sabres to recall another forward for the time being.

EDGE Analysis

Foligno, who missed Saturday's game with a leg injury, is expected to play Monday against the Flyers, reports The Buffalo News.
EDGE Analysis
Foligno will likely return to his usual spot in the bottom-six of the lineup, though without the services of Evander Kane the Sabres may opt to play Foligno on the top line for a few shifts. Nicolas Deslauriers took Kane's spot in practice but he's not expected to play with them every shift. This is a good opportunity for Foligno to live up to expectations as a power forward with a scoring touch, but given his recent performances it'll be difficult to realize. Until he goes on a hot streak, it's safe to leave him on the waiver wire in fantasy.

Foligno will start on the fourth line with Nicolas Deslauriers, reports The Buffalo News.
EDGE Analysis
It seems less likely with each passing year that Foligno will ever develop into a 20-goal checking line forward. He's scored just 15 goals over the past two seasons, and while he's a physical force, his offensive potential seems to be tapped out. After sitting out a few games as a healthy scratch last year, Foligno looks to be a fixture in the lineup with head coach Dan Bylsma indicating that he may ask Foligno to fill in as a center if needed. Until Foligno can score more often and perform more consistently, he's of little fantasy value.

Foligno netted a pair of goals and fired five shots on goal in Friday's loss to Chicago. While he's now got five points in his last six games, the goals were his first in 24 outings. Currently skating on the second line, the 23-year-old is an inconsistent scorer who shows flashes of brilliance, but remains too streaky to be trusted in anything but the deepest of leagues.
