Foligno had six hits and blocked one shot in Saturday's 2-1 victory over St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old has nine points (three goals, six assists) in 25 games so far, but his physicality has been his standout quality -- Foligno currently has the 13th most hits (75) in the NHL at the moment. Foligno has also been receiving minutes on the second power-play unit as of late, and since his career high point total is 23 from 2015-16, he has a good chance at surpassing that mark during his first season in Minnesota.

Foligno chipped in a goal and an assist in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Foligno potted the game's first goal just 4:56 in and helped bookend the scoring for the hosts by assisting on a Jonas Brodin tally 6:11 into the third period to make it 6-2. The Buffalo native contributed multiple points in a game for the first time this season despite seeing his second-lowest ice time total with just 12:45.

Foligno (face) told reporters he will be back in action against Winnipeg on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Foligno -- who was injured in a bout with Blackhawks' John Hayden -- slots back into the lineup after just a one-game absence. The winger will sport a full cage for the next two weeks, but should otherwise be back to 100 percent.

Foligno (face) returned to practice wearing a full cage on his helmet Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The Wild hope Foligno, who suffered a facial fracture in a fight with the Blackhawks' John Hayden last Thursday, returns to action this weekend -- either Friday's road game against the Jets or Saturday's clash with the Flames in Calgary.

Foligno (face) could potentially return for next weekend's back-to-back games at Winnipeg and Calgary, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Foligno had a bone in his face broken during a fight in Thursday's victory at Chicago. Foligno will have a medical procedure on the left side of his face Sunday and could return soon after by skating with a special helmet.

The Wild confirmed that Foligno (face) suffered a facial fracture in his fight against the Blackhawks' John Hayden and ruled him out for a week minimum.
EDGE Analysis
Foligno will require surgery to fix the fracture which is scheduled to be performed Sunday. Fortunately for Minnesota, the club has several days off after Saturday's matchup with Columbus, so the winger could be sidelined for just a game or two. Injuries to Charlie Coyle (leg) and Nino Niederreiter (ankle) will likely force the Wild to call-up a couple players from AHL Iowa.

Foligno might have sustained a fractured facial bone in his fight with Chicago's John Hayden in Thursday's contest, Michael Russo of TheAthletic.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Russo, there are 20 members of the Foligno hoping to see Marcus and older brother Nick Foligno, captain of the Blue Jackets, squaring off in Saturday night's contest in Minnesota, but there's a chance that the younger Foligno misses the contest due to his injury -- he's officially questionable for that game.

Foligno (undisclosed) is considered questionable for Saturday's game against the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
Foligno sustained his injury when Chicago's John Hayden connected with a huge right hook at the end of their scrap in the second period of Thursday's contest against the Blackhawks. The 26-year-old forward hasn't officially been ruled out of Saturday's matchup with Columbus, but he's looky iffy at best for that tilt at this juncture. The Wild should release an update on Foligno's status prior to puck drop Saturday evening.

Foligno signed a four-year, $11.5 million contract with the Wild on Thursday, Michael Russo of the Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Foligno wasn't willing to attend the first session of Minnesota's training camp Thursday without a deal, so the 26-year-old winger will presumably join his teammates at practice Friday now that the Wild has locked him up through the 2020-21 campaign. The 2009 fourth-round pick should be a solid bottom-six contributor for the Wild this season, but he lacks the offensive upside necessary to be a viable option in the majority of season-long fantasy formats.

Foligno -- who remains unsigned -- was not in camp with the Wild on Thursday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the two sides reportedly being close to a deal, Foligno -- a restricted free agent -- remains without a contract for the 2017-18 campaign. How much of camp the winger is absent for, only time will tell, but one has to imagine he won't miss any regular-season outings.
