Hayes had an assist in Monday's overtime win over the Blue Jackets. After a four-game point streak during which he rattled off a goal and five assists, Hayes has cooled a bit, mustering two points over his last six contests. Some type of regression was inevitable, and it won't tarnish what has been a more than respectable rookie campaign for the 22-year-old. He has 40 points and a plus-13 rating over 76 games, which may only be the floor for his production in future seasons.
