Jordan Eberle has just two goals and five points in his last 11 games. Eberle kicked off the season with a hot streak, but has slowed down significantly. He should bounce back and end up with close to a point-per-game in 2013.

Jordan Eberle found the net twice and added an assist in Edmonton's 6-4 win over Colorado on Saturday night. Eberle is playing at a similar pace to his breakout 2011-12 campaign with five goals, seven assists and 12 points in 14 games.

The Oilers Jordan Eberle is suffering through a mini-slump, as he has not scored in six contests. Eberle was absolutely dominant with the Oklahoma City Barons of the AHL during the lockout and he was on fire for Edmonton out of the gate so this appears to be a minor bump in the road. His role obviously hasn't changed and he has registered 34 shots on goal, meaning the scoring chances continue to arrive. There's probably nothing to worry about here.

Jordan Eberle scored a goal in the Oilers' 3-2 shootout win over Vancouver on Sunday. Eberle scored a goal late in the second stanza and fired five shots on goal in the Oilers win. Ales Hemsky also found the back of the net in the victory during regulation time in addition to scoring the shootout winner.

The Oilers are focused on bringing back the winning attitude from years past. Edmonton has not made it to the playoffs since 2006 and has not finished higher than fourth since then, either. "This organization has a legacy of winning which got drowned out in the past few seasons," Jordan Eberle said. "Obviously the big thing we want to get back is that winning attitude that was here in the '80s. I think it starts with a real intense desire not to lose two in a row. A real focus on that. Good teams seldom lose two in a row." The Oilers certainly have enough high-end offensive talent, but the question remains whether they'll be able to keep the puck out of their own net enough.

The Oilers are young and talented but they've been in the basement for three consecutive years and right wing Jordan Eberle says they will be able to reverse the trend this season by learning how to win. "It was something addressed right off the bat as a team," the Oilers' alternate captain said. "This organization has a legacy of winning, which got drowned out in the past few seasons. Obviously the big thing we want to get back is that winning attitude that was here in the '80s. I think it starts with a real intense desire not to lose two in a row. A real focus on that. Jordan Eberle has been selected as an alternate captain. "You look around the room and we've got a lot of leaders in here. There are a lot of options," Eberle said. "So, obviously, it's an honor to be named an (alternate) captain. At the same time, I think the only way we're going to succeed is if everyone takes over a role and everyone's a leader in here. That's going to be important" Eberle served as an assistant captain with the AHL Oklahoma City Barons during the lockout. He's entering his third NHL campaign.

The Edmonton Oilers started training camp on Sunday by practicing outdoors. The fans were there to greet the Oilers despite temperatures only managing to hit a high of minus 14 degrees C (7 degrees F). It was a surprise for the Oiler players who thought they would be practicing indoors and not playing shinny outdoors. "It was out of nowhere for everybody," Eberle said. Eberle said that the fans were great and so was the turnout. Hockey is back in Edmonton.

Jordan Eberle and Justin Schultz built up quite the gap between themselves and the rest of the AHL's leading scorers. It'll take someone quite a while to catch those two - even if Schultz sticks with the Edmonton Oilers like Eberle will. Eberle scored 51 points in 34 games played while Schultz is just a step behind with 48 in the same span. Cam Atkinson is the closest player behind them with 38 in 33 contests - and he probably won't stay in the AHL, either.

The AHL has chosen Jordan Eberle as the Player of the Month for a second straight time. He captured the distinction in November and won it again in December. Eberle led all AHL skaters in scoring with 11 goals and nine assists in 11 games last month. His repeat performance was aided by two hat tricks and six multiple-point matches. Eberle currently leads the league with 24 goals and 49 points after 32 outings.
