The Edmonton Oilers forwards are already battered, so losing Eberle on top of that would be particularly trying for the squad as they attempt to bounce back from their rough start to the 2013-14 campaign.

Jordan Eberle missed practice on Sunday. No reason was given so we assume that he was given a maintenance day off as he played 21:34 minutes Saturday against the Senators, scoring once and adding an assist. He has three goals and eight points in nine games thus far and should be active in all pools.

Of the 21 shots Jordan Eberle has taken on opponents' nets this season, 20 were considered high quality, according to a study by The Edmonton Journal. Twenty of Eberle's shots in the Oilers' eight games have been from the slot area. Eberle's 20 hard or dangerous shots on net from the slot area are the most on the Oilers. It's interesting to note, however, that while Eberle has so far created so many and such a high percentage of high quality shots, his shooting percentage is a mundane 9.5 per cent.
