Gibson will start in net Friday against the Blackhawks, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson was considered the expected starter for the contest Friday and that's indeed the case. He's been filling in due to Frederik Andersen's illness, and has allowed just four goals in net total in his two starts since joining the Ducks. He'll get another shot in net Friday, facing a Blackhawks club that's much better offensively at home than on the road this season.

Gibson stopped 30-of-33 shots in Wednesday's loss to the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson has appeared in just two games this season, and now has a 1-1-0 record after playing both games of a back-to-back against Calgary and Arizona. Goaltenders Anton Khudobin and Frederik Andersen have struggled this season, but it remains to be seen if Gibson's two-game cameo during Andersen's illness is enough to keep him around with the big club.

Gibson will be between the pipes in Wednesday's game against the Coyotes, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson was fantastic in relief of Anton Khudobin on Tuesday, stopping 19 of 20 shots en route to a 5-3 victory over the Flames. He'll look to carry the momentum he gained from Tuesday's performance into Wednesday's matchup with a Coyotes club averaging 2.75 goals scored per game this season.

Gibson made his season debut in relief of Anton Khudobin Tuesday and did not disappoint. He made 19 saves on 20 shots to lead Anaheim to a 5-3 victory over the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
The only blemish on Gibson's night was a goal allowed off an own-zone turnover by the Ducks' defense. Other than that, the 22-year-old netminder was fantastic and should be in line for more work with how inconsistent Khudobin and starter Frederik Andersen have been this season.

Gibson has been recalled by the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
Top Ducks goalie Frederik Anderson is reportedly questionable for Tuesday night's game against the Flames due to an illness, so one can assume that is the reason why Gibson has been summoned. Of course, Anton Khudobin is the regular backup for Anaheim.

Gibson (illness) returned to practice Saturday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson missed Friday's practice with the flu, but was back on the ice for Saturday's practice session. Frederik Andersen will likely open the season as the Ducks' starting goaltender, but Gibson is immensely talented, and could push Andersen for the starting job if he struggles early on.

Gibson missed practice Friday as he continues to fight off a stomach flu, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson came down with the illness in Thursday night's contest against the Avalanche, causing him to leave that game after the second period. Gibson is an immensely talented goalie, but the Ducks also have capable backstops Frederik Andersen and Anton Khudobin fighting for playing time between the posts this season.

Gibson was taken out of Thursday's game for the third period due to an illness, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson was likely taken out for precautionary reasons, and unless the illness turns out to be something serious, there's no reason he shouldn't be good to go for the beginning of the regular season.

Gibson will start in goal Tuesday night against the Avalanche, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's time for Gibson to go to work after signing a three-year, $6.9 million contract extension Monday. He'll attempt to win a roster spot out of training camp and press Frederik Andersen for time between the pipes during the regular season. Of course, Anton Khudobin is also in the mix following two seasons with Carolina, so the netminder competition should be fierce in Anaheim. While Gibson is arguably the most talented of the group, he'll really have to set himself apart in camp.

Gibson signed a three-year, $6.9 million contract extension with the Ducks on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson is locked in as Anaheim's primary backup goaltender behind Frederik Andersen. Andersen is set to become a restricted free agent after the 2015-16 season. If his asking price is too high, the Ducks may opt to let him test free agency, in which case Gibson would likely slot in as the team's starting netminder. Gibson went 13-8-0 with a 2.60 GAA and a .914 save percentage in 23 games with Anaheim last season.
