Gibson (upper body) didn't practice Wednesday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
The report notes that Gibson got some skating and work in before practice, but at this stage he remains day-to-day, which presumably puts Frederik Andersen on track to start Thursday's playoff opener against the Jets.

Coach Bruce Boudreau said Monday that Gibson (upper body) is still being viewed as day-to-day in advance of Thursday's Game 1 against the Jets, Elliott Teaford of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Like many coaches at this time of the year, Boudreau wasn't willing to divulge much information regarding Gibson's injury, which forced the Ducks to call up Jason LaBarbera from AHL Norfolk as goalie depth for Saturday's regular-season finale against the Coyotes. Even if Gibson recovers in time to dress for Game 1, his iffy health will probably prompt Boudreau to stick with Frederik Andersen in the net for the start of the series.

Gibson has an upper-body injury and has been officially ruled out for Saturday's game, the Orange County Register's Eric Stephens reports.
He is day-to-day with the injury, but with Saturday's game being the regular season finale, fantasy owners in regular season leagues will no longer have any use for Gibson.

Gibson is nursing a minor injury and isn't expected to play Saturday against the Coyotes, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Gibson was a candidate to start Saturday's season finale, but after apparently suffering the injury in Friday's practice, the Ducks were concerned enough to recall Jason LaBarbera from AHL Norfolk. At this time, Gibson's injury is believed to be minor, though more information on that front should become available closer to game time. The Ducks have taken a tandem approach to their goaltending situation as the postseason nears, with both Gibson and Frederik Andersen sharing the duties over the last few weeks.

Gibson allowed three goals on 22 shots in Friday's loss to the Avs.
Gibson was unable to hold an early lead for his Ducks, as they faltered and were unable to extend their winning streak to five games. Wins have been few and far between for Gibson, as he has only recorded one since his run of three straight in mid-March. With only two regular season games left before the playoffs, Gibson will need to come up with something special if he is to see any time in the playoffs.

Gibson will start Friday's game against the Avalanche, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Gibson and Frederik Andersen have both been getting plenty of work, but Andersen handled three of the previous four games. While the veteran appears to have an advantage heading into the playoffs, this has the look of a situation that could change with a couple of bad outings.

Gibson went 26-of-27 in Sunday's win over New Jersey.
Gibson's shutout bid was looking strong until the Devils' Dainius Zubrus ended it with just 3:25 left to play. Gibson probably won't lose too much sleep over it though, as the win was his first in over two weeks.

Gibson will start in net Sunday against the Devils.
Gibson allowed four goals on 26 shots in his last outing Tuesday, but will return to the net Sunday following two starts by Frederik Andersen. Neither has been spectacular, which will likely lead to continued fluidity in net.

Gibson gave up four goals on 26 shots Tuesday in a 5-3 loss to the Blue Jackets.
After he came on in relief and gave up four goals Sunday against the Rangers, Gibson drew the start Tuesday and wasn't much better. The Ducks are looking for answers in net right now, as both Gibson and Frederik Andersen have been struggling of late -- and as a result, the team has been rather mediocre.

Gibson has been confirmed as Tuesday's starter in goal for the Ducks' tilt with the Blue Jackets, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Coach Bruce Boudreau went with Frederik Andersen for both of the Ducks' previous two games, but after the goalie faltered in his second outing against the Rangers on Sunday, Gibson appears to have reemerged as Option 1A in net. Boudreau figures to employ a roughly even split of the goalie duties the rest of the way, but both Gibson and Andersen will generally remain dependable options most nights due to the overall strength of the Ducks' roster. Over his 20 appearances this season, Gibson is 12-6-0 with a 2.58 GAA and .917 save percentage.
