Vrana was demoted back to AHL Hersey on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Vrana was recalled on Friday due to Justin Williams (lower body) hurting ahead of Saturday's road tilt against the Canadiens, but Williams was able to give it a go. With him healthy, the club no longer needs the services of Vrana, who will return to a Hershey club with whom he's notched 24 points in 30 games. Should another injury occur up front, Vrana would be one of the top candidates to rejoin the big club.

Vrana was recalled from AHL Hershey on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Vrana's call-up was necessitated by Justin Williams (lower body) ailing on the eve of a road game against the Canadiens. The 20-year-old has maintained an 0.80 points-per-game pace in the AHL this season, making him a dark horse to shine in the limited opportunities that he gets at hockey's highest level.

Vrana was demoted back to AHL Hershey on Sunday, Isabelle Khurshudyan of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Vrana's reassignment leaves the Capitals with just 12 forwards heading into Sunday's contest against the Senators and just 19 skaters overall. The youngster notched three points in 12 games with the Capitals this season, even seeing some time on the man advantage during his stay with the NHL club. However, it's unlikely he will see enough meaningful ice time with the parent club this season to be worthy of fantasy ownership in the majority of leagues.

Vrana picked up his first two NHL assists -- one on the power play -- in Tuesday's win over the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
He skated only 9:34, but made an impact anyway. Vrana has played a bottom-six role with some power-play time since coming up to Washington, and we've seen clear indicators of his talent, but the team seems justifiably disinclined to displace its top two right wingers, T.J. Oshie and Justin Williams. That'll limit Vrana's fantasy potential in the short term, but he looks like a big-time player in the long run.

Vrana scored his first career goal on the power play in the second period of Friday's win over Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
It should be the first of many goals for the talented young winger. Vrana scored 55 points -- 25 goals -- through 57 AHL games before receiving a promotion to Washington. While he has just the single tally through five games with the Capitals, Vrana is a speculative stash candidate in most seasonal leagues. He owns significant offensive skill and scoring upside, after all.

Vrana will play alongside Andre Burakovsky and Evgeny Kuznetsov on the second line Thursday against the Islanders, Mike Vogel of Monumental Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 20-year-old winger will get his first taste of regular season NHL action due to the ongoing injury to T.J. Oshie (shoulder). The speedy winger is slated to play on a potent second line that could be the future of Washington's offensive attack. With nine goals and 16 points in 18 games with AHL Hershey, the Czech national has plenty of offenseive upside at the NHL level, but his stay with the Capitals could be brief if Oshie returns in the near future. Fantasy owners are advised to keep an eye on Vrana's ice time and production -- although he may be worth a closer look against a road-weary Islanders team that played Wednesday for those in daily formats.

Vrana was called up from the minors Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Vrana has been playing with AHL Hershey since being cut during training camp this year and has been thriving. In 18 appearances, the winger racked up nine goals and seven helpers. The team also promoted Paul Carey, so it is unclear whether the 20-year-old Vrana will get to make his NHL debut against the Islanders on Thursday or if he will be watching from the press box.

Vrana was cut from the Capitals' training camp roster Monday, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 20-year-old winger was a candidate to make the Capitals roster this season, but the organization seems keen to let him develop his skills with AHL Hershey, where he had nine goals and 15 points in 14 regular season games last year. While he should make the jump to the NHL ranks in 2017-18, he's not likely to be a factor in most formats this season.

Vrana has fully recovered from November wrist surgery and is now healthy and producing for AHL Hershey.
EDGE Analysis
Vrana has played quite well in 14 games with AHL Hershey since returning from wrist surgery, potting six goals and nine assists. The 20-year-old Czech center is certainly showing why Washington thought highly enough of him to select him 13th overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Vrana is definitely a prospect worth keeping an eye on.

Vrana underwent successful wrist surgery Wednesday morning, Capitals PR reports, adding that he will require 3-4 months before returning to "full hockey activities."
EDGE Analysis
Vrana is a top prospect selected 13th overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Before his injury, he showed a sneak peak of his immense offensive potential by recording two goals and four assists in six games with AHL Hershey (2015-16). Hopefully, the prized 19-year-old can make a full recovery and meet the expected timeline for his return. He's already worth stashing in dynasty formats.
