Vrana was practicing on the fourth line during Monday's morning skate, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The demotion would certainly limit Vrana's fantasy value as he had been skating alongside Alex Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov in recent outings. The 22-year-old winger has a great deal of offensive upside and isn't expected to toil in the bottom six for long, but fantasy owners should exercise caution when putting him in their lineups until his role improves.

Vrana tallied a goal, an assist and a plus-2 rating during Friday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Vrana has had a fairly quiet start to the season with two goals and three points in seven games. It's also worth noting that he his damage playing after ending up on the third line following Washington's disastrous first period. The 22-year-old winger's sleeper potential takes a hit if he is away from a top-six role for an extended period of time, so monitor his usage on the upcoming road trip for cues on his role moving forward.

Vrana registered an assist in 13:33 of ice time during Sunday's 5-2 victory over the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Vrana looks like he will open the season alongside Nicklas Backstrom and T.J. Oshie on the second line. The Czech winger has some legitimate sleeper potential if he can maintain such a prominent role, so keep an eye on him in the later rounds of your fantasy drafts.

Vrana tallied an assist and a plus-2 rating during Sunday's 6-2 win in Game 2 against the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
Vrana has been a much more impactful player since being benched early in the playoffs and has a goal and four points over his last four games. Meshing well on Washington's second line with Lars Eller and T.J. Oshie, the Czech winger could keep a significant role throughout the postseason as long as he can fend off Andre Burakovsky for coveted ice time.

Vrana scored the game-winning goal and added two assists in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Penguins in Game 5.
EDGE Analysis
The young winger was skating with none other than Alexander Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov on the Caps' top line. Vrana is a talented winger that is coming off a 27-point rookie season and has five points (two goals, three assists) in 10 games this postseason.

Vrana won't play Game 2 against the Blue Jackets on Sunday, Tarik El-Bashir of NBC Sports Washington reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post, head coach Barry Trotz said Vrana has "some things we need to clear up in his game and get him reset." Vrana made a costly turnover in Game 1 on Thursday, but he still notched an assist while logging just 6:58 of ice time, so it's odd that he's being kept out entirely. Jay Beagle will return from an upper-body injury to take Vrana's place.

Vrana recorded an assist during Thursday's 1-0 win over the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
Vrana continues his hot streak with his second goal and sixth point over his last five games. Remarkably, the 23-year-old has been able to sustain a high level of play while skating on the third line with Brett Connolly and rookie center Travis Boyd, so this could be a sign that he's finding his sea legs in the late stages of a rookie season that has yielded 13 goals and 27 points in 67 games. Keep your eyes peeled for the slick winger in the middle to late stages of 2018-19 fantasy drafts.

Vrana recorded an assist and two shots during Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
The 22-year-old winger has managed a goal and four points over his last three games while playing mostly on the third line. Vrana hasn't lived up perhaps unreasonable expectations set early in the year, but with 13 goals and 26 points in 65 games is nonetheless having a fine rookie campaign and should be squarely on your radar heading into fantasy drafts for 2018-19.

Vrana lit the lamp and had a power-play helper in a 6-3 win over the Islanders on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Vrana made the most of his limited ice time, as he only played 9:12 (and a mere 0:55 on the power play). The 13th-overall pick from the 2014 NHL Draft has some prospect sheen to him, but on a veteran, win-now team like the Capitals he has yet to carve out a significant role. He gives them some depth scoring, he has 25 points in 64 games, but not much more.

Vrana registered a goal during Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Vrana has been on a bit of a tear of late with two goals, three points, a plus-2 rating and 10 shots in his last four games. The 21-year-old winger has had an ok season In his first full year in the majors with 12 goals and 22 points in 60 games. However, the Capitals (and fantasy owners) were certainly expecting him to do more of the heavy lifting following the offseason departures of Justin Williams and Marcus Johansson. The 21-year-old winger has the opportunity to finish out the season well now that he's playing on the second line with Evgeny Kuznetsov and T.J. Oshie and could be a valuable commodity in the later rounds of next season's fantasy drafts.
