Vrana was cut from the Capitals' training camp roster Monday, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.

The 20-year-old winger was a candidate to make the Capitals roster this season, but the organization seems keen to let him develop his skills with AHL Hershey, where he had nine goals and 15 points in 14 regular season games last year. While he should make the jump to the NHL ranks in 2017-18, he's not likely to be a factor in most formats this season.
