Allen will be in the crease for Sunday's game against the Stars, NHL.com's Lou Korac reports.
The Blues will go with Brian Elliott for what projects to be the tougher matchup of the team's back-to-back set Saturday against the Wild, leaving Allen to pick up Sunday's turn. Though the Stars are expected to miss the postseason, they still have plenty of offensive firepower at their disposal with Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn, and Jason Spezza, making it far from a plum matchup for Allen, who has surrendered nine goals over his past two games. Tread carefully.

Allen was lit up for five goals on 23 shots Tuesday in a loss to Montreal.
A hideous outing for the Blues' backup, who'd delivered three consecutive one-goal efforts coming in. While Allen posts the occasional clunker, he's generally been a reliable spot starter when called upon.

Allen stopped 25 of 26 shots to outduel Arizona's Mike Smith in a 2-1 win Tuesday. That's the fifth consecutive winning decision for Allen, who's slowly starting to pull his rate stats up. Even though this outing came against the lowly Coyotes, it's got to be a nice confidence-builder. The only problem is that his best play has come as Brian Elliott's backup -- when he had to step in as the full-time starter, Allen wasn't cutting the mustard.

Allen will receive the start in goal Tuesday against the Coyotes, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Allen's last outing came Friday in relief of Brian Elliott, but he had struggles of his own, allowing three goals on 19 shots. He will receive a turn in net again Tuesday, facing a Coyotes' offense that ranks near the bottom in goals per game (2.24) this season.
