Allen allowed two goals on 22 shots in Thursday's 3-1 road loss at the hands of the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
Allen's not the first goalie to be surprised by the Oilers this year, but he still played pretty well; unfortunately, the Blues couldn't find much net space that wasn't covered by Cam Talbot on the other end. The 26-year-old netminder has allowed exactly two goals in all four of his starts to open 2016-17, offering a brand of consistency that fantasy owners should value signficantly. That .909 save percentage will come up, too.

Allen will defend the net in Edmonton on Thursday night, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen's allowed two goals in each of his first three starts, having won a pair of those contests. Chances are good that he hasn't forgotten about the Oil putting up five goals against him in a start last March, including two tallies from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.

Allen turned aside 24 of 26 shots Tuesday but it wasn't enough as the Blues were beaten 2-1 in overtime by the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
The Blues have been doing a great job limiting shots in front of Allen this year, as he's now faced just 66 shots in three starts -- two of which were wins. With Brian Elliott now in Calgary, the starting reins finally belong solely to Allen, so even though the 26-year-old didn't get in the win column Tuesday, owners should be encouraged by the early return.

Allen will guard the crease in Tuesday night's matchup with the Canucks, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen will have a chance to improve to 3-0 following victories over the Blackhawks and Wild in the St. Louis' first two games of the season. The 26-year-old netminder is coming off a 2015-16 campaign that saw him go 26-15-3 with a 2.35 GAA and .920 save percentage. With the Blues coming off a 49-24 season and currently standing at 3-0, Allen is sure to have plenty of opportunities to rack up wins during this years' campaign.

Allen stopped 21 of 23 Wild shots Thursday to improve to 2-0-0 on the young season with a 3-2 win.
EDGE Analysis
That's two consecutive wins over division rivals for Allen, who will see a much more significant workload now that Brian Elliott is in Ottawa. St. Louis boasts one of the top defensive cores in hockey, and has allowed just 42 shots on net through two contests. Allen's going to win a lot of games this year if the Blues keep playing at this level.

Allen will start between the pipes for the second night in a row Thursday against the Wild, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Many times goalies won't go on back-to-back nights, but Allen's youth combined with freshness early in the season may both have factored in the decision. He wasn't worked hard in the first contest of the season either, stopping 17 of the 19 shots he faced against the Blackhawks to secure his first victory of the season in a 5-2 victory. He will look to keep things rolling in the team's home opener but will be facing a Wild team playing their first game of the season.

Allen stoned 17 of 19 shots during Wednesday's 5-2 win against the Blackhawks on Opening Night.
EDGE Analysis
While Allen didn't face much pressure throughout the opener, wins like this against a powerful offense will allow St. Louis fans to forget Brian Elliott with ease. The 26-year-old has posted solid numbers in two straight campaigns, and now gets his time to shine as the undisputed No. 1 for the Blues. In 2015-16, the 2008 second-round pick registered a .920 save percentage and 2.35 GAA, numbers that could easily be duplicated with the help of his excellent defensemen.

Allen (leg) returned to practice Tuesday and will be ready to start between the pipes Wednesday when te Blues travel to open the season in Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
Allen injured his leg in Saturday's preseason contest and didn't practice Monday but the Blues and fantasy owners can both breathe a sigh of relief, as the netminder returned to the cage during Tuesday's session. St. Louis shipped veteran Brian Elliott to Calgary in the offseason, opening Allen to a heavy workload this season. He also shouldn't have to look over his shoulder with Carter Hutton being the top replacement option in the crease.

Allen will test his leg before Tuesday's practice and could be available to play Wednesday, Tom Timmerman of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen didn't practice Monday but head coach Ken Hitchcock said the goalie is "doing fine." He'll take an early morning skate with team trainers and, If all goes well, Allen will join the Blues for practice. The coach's assumption is that if Allen practices Tuesday, he'll be ready to play Wednesday in Chicago.

Allen (undisclosed) didn't participate in practice Monday, Tom Timmerman of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
The goalie left the Blues' final preseason game Saturday with an undisclosed injury, and while it's unclear what is wrong, it was bad enough to warrant another day of rest Monday. If he's unable to suit up for the season opener Wednesday, Carter Hutton would be the starting goalie.
