Allen was lit up for five goals on 26 shots by the Stars in Thursday's loss.
EDGE Analysis
Ouch. Allen's now been blasted for nine goals over four and a half periods of play in his last two starts -- quite the change of pace from the 1.83 GAA and .923 save percentage he put up over his first seven outings. That said, the Rangers and Stars boast two of the league's most dangerous offenses, and Allen had to face both on their home turf. He and the Blues return to St. Louis for a more favorable matchup against Columbus on Saturday.

Allen will start between the posts Thursday against the Stars, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following a two-game stint that saw Allen save 53 of 54 shots, the 26-year-old netminder turned in his worst performance of the season Tuesday, allowing four goals on 20 shots en route to a loss against the Rangers. He'll look to get back into the win column Thursday when he faces a Dallas team that is ranked 25th in goals scored (20) and is currently without top playmakers Patrick Sharp and Cody Eakin.

Allen gave up four goals on only 20 shots before being pulled in a 5-0 loss to the Rangers on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
After Allen was beaten twice in a span of less than two minutes in the first period and then three more times in the second, head coach Ken Hitchcock had seen enough. Despite the blemish, Allen still sports above-average numbers (4-2-2, .910 save percentage, 2.22 GAA) and is very much the man in St. Louis now that Brian Elliott is long gone to Calgary.

Allen will tend the twine Tuesday against the Rangers, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen is back in net after recording his first shutout of the season against the Kings on Saturday. Entrusted with the starting job this year, the 26-year-old has not disappointed, as he has posted a 4-1-2 record that includes a stellar 1.83 GAA. Tuesday's matchup will test the goaltender as he goes up against a New York squad leading the league in goals per game at 3.89.

Allen made 27 saves in a 1-0 win over the Kings on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Allen now has 12 shutouts in just 96 NHL starts. He's 4-1-2 in seven starts this season and has only allowed more than two goals in a game once in that span. Allen is a primo fantasy starter. Use accordingly.

Allen will start in goal Saturday night against the visiting Kings, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen has started six out of a possible eight games for the Blues to kick off the 2016-17 campaign, illustrating that he's the clear No. 1 option between the pipes for St. Louis. So far, he's won half of his games and has a 2.13 GAA to boot.

Allen made 26 saves against the Red Wings on Thursday, but lost in the shootout, 2-1.
EDGE Analysis
Overall, Allen played well in this game, though he allowed a shorthanded goal from Frans Nielsen in the second period and was unable to track the various dekes made by Henrik Zetterberg for the 16th total shot in the shootout. Allen's now looking at a 3-1-2 record, 2.13 GAA and .908 save percentage through six games this season -- those are quality numbers, and fantasy owners with shares in the 26-year-old must be loving how he's no longer splitting the workload with veteran Brian Elliott (now in Calgary).

Allen will start in the crease Thursday night against the visiting Red Wings, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen is coming off his worst start of the season, having coughed up four goals on 27 shots to the Flames, though he was able to hang on for his third victory. Now, he's tasked with slowing down a Red Wings team that has rattled off five consecutive wins.

Allen allowed four goals on 27 shot attempts, but the offense bailed him out in St. Louis' 6-4 win over Calgary on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Allen had played well in the first two games of the Western Canada swing, but came away 0-1-1 in losses to Vancouver and Edmonton before the offense woke up in Calgary. Through five games, Allen is 3-1-1 with an .896 save percentage. He'll get a couple of days off as the Blues head back to St. Louis for a Tuesday rematch against the Flames.

Allen will start in net Saturday against the Flames, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen has been solid to start the season, allowing an average of two goals per game. After getting about half of the Blues starts the last two years, he seems poised to get a vast majority of them this year, health depending.
