Markstrom will return to the crease Friday against Carolina.
EDGE Analysis
Friday will be Markstrom's ninth start in his last 10 games, but his first since Ryan Miller returned from injury. Markstrom has certainly played well enough to take the starting job from Miller, as he now has a 2.44 GAA and a .920 save percentage this season. As well as Markstrom has played, Friday he will be facing a Hurricanes team that has won four-straight games, scoring 15 goals during that span.

Markstrom stopped 26 of 28 shots in Monday's win over the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom allowed two first period tallies on just seven shots, but he tightened up the rest of the way to help deliver the overtime win. He continues to be the preferred option as Ryan Miller deals with a cramping issue, but the veteran netminder could be ready to reclaim his starting role in the near future.

Markstrom will be in net for Monday's game against Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom continues to see the lion's share of starts in net with Ryan Miller still sidelined, and that's the case again for Monday's contest. HHe'll look to improve on his 2.48 GAA and .919 save percentage on the season against a Panthers club that will be playing on back-to-back days.

Markstrom turned away 32 of 35 shots in Saturday's overtime loss to the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
A fairly strong effort from Markstrom, who drops to 5-5-4 on the season. The 25-year-old is playing well in the Canucks crease right now and is sporting a .919 save percentage. There is potential for him to be the future No.1 goaltender in Vancouver, so keep your eye on him, as he's helped the team pick up five out of a possible eight points in his last four outings.

The Canucks announced that Ryan Miller (undisclosed) will be the backup goalie Saturday night against the Lightning, which means Markstrom will draw the start.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom has made 12 starts in 2015-16, one of which was a fantastic performance against Tampa Bay on Dec. 22, when he returned 26 of 27 shots en route to his second win of the season. The Swede has since picked up three more victories to support a .919 save percentage on the season. However, now that Miller is once again available to play, we'd expect Markstrom to relinquish the starting gig after Saturday night -- of course, that assumes no further setbacks for Miller.

Markstrom stopped 26 of the 28 shots he faced Wednesday to beat the Hurricanes 3-2.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom is 4-2-0 in his last six appearances after a 1-3-3 start to the season. Ryan Miller's backup sports a solid 2.45 GAA, although it surely helps that most of his action comes against weak opponents like the Hurricanes.

Markstrom will be in the crease in Wednesday's game against the Hurricanes, Dave Tomlinson of TSN 1040 Vancouver reports.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom didn't play particularly well in his last outing, surrendering three goals on 29 shots en route to a 3-2 loss to the Coyotes on Monday. He'll look to bounce back in a favorable matchup Wednesday with a Carolina club that has lost three of its last four games, and is averaging just 2.30 goals per game this season, 26th in the NHL.

Markstrom stopped 26 of 29 shots in Monday's loss to the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't a terrible performance from Markstrom, but he hasn't been helped out much by way of offensive support, as his mates have mustered just eight total goals in his last five starts. He figures to remain the lead option in net as long as Ryan Miller is sidelined with muscle cramps, but the American has been able to resume skating so a return could be not far off.

Markstrom will be in the blue paint for Monday's tilt with Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom will be making his fifth consecutive start with Ryan Miller having landed on injured reserve with muscle cramps. Markstrom is 3-1-0 in his last four starts, and while he allowed five goals in the loss, he posted a 0.96 GAA and a .966 save percentage over the three wins. The big Swede will be facing a tough test in Arizona, though, as the Coyotes score the sixth-most goals per game in the NHL.

Markstrom will get the start in goal Friday against the Canucks, the Orange County Register's Eric Stephens reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryan Miller continues to deal with a groin injury and remains on injured reserve, so Markstrom should be in net for the Canucks in the immediate future.
