Markstrom stopped 23 of 25 shots in Friday's loss to the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom played well, but Jordan Eberle and Matt Hendricks were able to solve the netminder to give the Oilers their second straight win. The Canucks couldn't score a goal for Markstrom, who drops to 11-10-4 on the season. Vancouver is out of the playoff race, but Markstrom is sporting a decent .915 save percentage and has allowed two of fewer goals in three of his last four outings, so he remains valuable in some fantasy leagues.

Markstrom will start Friday's road game against the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom, who allowed five goals on 29 shots in Monday's loss to the Jets, will thus look to bounce back Friday against an Edmonton squad that displayed some offensive spark in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Blues.

Markstrom allowed five goals on 29 shots in Monday's loss to the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom had turned in solid performances his last two times out, but this one was a struggle throughout. Coach Willie Desjardins has alternated between the 26-year-old and Ryan Miller in the last eight starts, so that trend figures to continue despite Monday's five-goal showing.

Markstrom will start Monday's game against the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom, who has won his last two starts, while allowing four goals in that span, will look to help the Canucks win for the third time in a row on the heels of Saturday's 4-2 win over Nashville, which was backstopped by Ryan Miller. On Monday Markstrom will face a Winnipeg squad that snapped a three-game slide with a 3-2 win over Colorado on Saturday.

Markstrom stopped 32 of 34 shots to beat the Coyotes 3-2 in overtime Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom surrendered the game's first two goals in the second period, but held the fort the rest of the way as his Canucks completed their comeback. He has racked up consecutive 32-save victories following a rough three-start stretch in which he gave up 13 goals, and could see more playing time moving forward with veteran alternative Ryan Miller having dropped three straight.

Markstrom will tend the twine Wednesday against the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom set aside 32 of the 34 shots he faced in Saturday's contests against the Sharks, and appears to have earned a timeshare with Ryan Miller, now starting three of five games. He's been surprisingly much better on the road than at home (2.87 GAA, .900 save percentage) this season, but he also faces a Coyotes club third-worst in the league in scoring (2.16) on the road. He may be a questionable option in daily, but still has some upside given his recent play.

Sun 3/6/16 3:05 AM

Markstrom stopped 32 of 34 shots in Saturday's win over the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
A big rebound performance from Markstrom, who had allowed 13 goals in his last three outings. The former Panther advances to 10-8-4 on the season with a .917 save percentage. The Canucks are currently 10 points back of a playoff spot, so Markstrom will need to be as good as he was Saturday if the Canucks hope to make a strong push down the stretch. Ryan Miller may be seen as the starter right now in Vancouver, but Markstrom's strong play Saturday should earn him some more starts in the near-future.

Markstrom will be in the crease in Saturday's road game against the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom hasn't played well of late, posting an 0-3-0 record with an atrocious 4.39 GAA and .847 save percentage in his last three outings. The former second-round pick will look to get back in the win column Saturday in a tough road matchup with a hot Sharks club that has won three consecutive games, scoring at least three goals in each of those victories.

Markstrom allowed three goals on 24 shots in a 3-2 loss to the Islanders on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom continues to have a mediocre season and has now lost his last three starts. The 26-year-old has been pretty reliable on the whole this season, though, with an overall record of 9-8-4. Should he be able to get himself back on track here soon, Markstrom might be able to get a few mores starts down the stretch, especially with Ryan Miller having an off year between the pipes.

Markstrom will protect the net Tuesday against the Islanders, Brad Ziemer of the Vancouver Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom was dealing with flu-like symptoms over the weekend, but the illness appears to be fully behind him. The Swede allowed five goals in each of his last two starts and will draw a difficult matchup Tuesday against an Islanders team that ranks in the top 10 in the league with 2.78 goals per game.
