Slavin recorded a pair of assists, a plus-3 rating and four shots during Friday's 4-1 over the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Slavin has been on fire in the month of March with three goals and 13 points in his last 15 contests. With back-to-back 30-point seasons, the 23-year-old defender could be primed for a breakout in 2018-19, so keep an eye on him in the later rounds of your drafts this Fall.

Slavin registered three assists Thursday, helping the Hurricanes to a 6-5 home win over the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
A mobile defenseman in his third NHL season, Slavin is up to eight goals, 20 assists and 146 blocked shots. He hasn't missed a game since his rookie campaign, which is a testament to his toughness and durability. He's paired with Justin Faulk, who may be the most recognizable name from Carolina's blue line, but it wouldn't surprise us if Slavin's done enough to warrant a late-round selection in fantasy drafts over the fall.

Slavin posted a goal and an assist in a 4-3 victory over the Islanders on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
For the second consecutive day, Slavin registered a goal and an assist, giving him eight scores and 25 points this season. That's more goals than he had in his first two seasons combined, but Slavin is still nine points away off his 2016-17 pace, and he owns a minus-7 rating. He posted 34 points and a plus-23 rating last season.

Slavin scored a goal and an assist while adding two shots, three blocked shots, a hit and a plus-1 rating in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
It's just the third multi-point performance this season for the young blueliner, and while Slavin now has a career-high seven goals on the season, he's well off last season's scoring pace with only 23 points in 71 games. He still has a solid base of skills to work with, but unless he works his way into a regular spot on the Carolina power play in 2018-19, Slavin could have difficulty becoming a consistent fantasy asset as his career progresses.

Slavin recorded his seventh point in 12 games, and 20th point of the season, with an assist in Sunday's 3-2 loss to Winnipeg.
EDGE Analysis
Slavin has picked up his scoring pace in recent weeks, following a dismal stretch where he scored just three points in 18 games from late December to early February. Now with just 16 games left in the regular season, Slavin is unlikely to crack the 30-point mark as he did last year (5 goals, 29 assists), but he could finish with something in the high 20's with a strong push down the stretch.

Slavin ended a seven-game point drought with an assist Friday against the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a disappointing season for Slavin, following his 34-point sophomore campaign last year. Now with just 14 points in 55 games, he will be lucky to crack the 20-point mark given his current pace. Furthermore, his sparkling plus-23 rating from last season has been reduced to a dismal minus-12, making him fantasy poison for anyone in a league that counts plus-minus. You can do better.

Slavin snapped a four-game pointless stretch Sunday, scoring his team's only goal in a 5-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
EDGE Analysis
Slavin continues to see significant minutes on the Canes' top defensive pairing (23:01 average TOI), however scoring-wise, he's still in a deep rut this year. Now with just 13 points through 47 games, Slavin projects to fall well short of the 34 points he registered last season. Despite some upside potential, the third-year defender remains firmly entrenched in the bottom tier of all fantasy blueliners at the present time.

Slavin recorded an assist for the second straight game in Wednesday's 3-1 victory over the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Slavin took a major step forward last season by cracking the 30-point plateau for the first time in his young career, earning him a seven-year, $37 million contract extension from the Canes during the offseason. Since then, however, he has failed to live up to expectations as his 10 points through 36 games puts him on pace to finish just barely over the 20-point mark. Slavin remains a fixture on the Canes' top defensive pairing, averaging roughly 23 minutes per game, but he's still not much of an offense generator. His fantasy value remains confined to deeper formats at the present time.

Slavin scored the game-winning goal in overtime and also collected an assist during Friday's 5-4 victory against Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
Slavin's an interesting player because he's highly regarded among the analytics zealots and quickly climbed into a prominent role with Carolina despite modest pedigree. With that in mind, it's not overly surprising that the third-year defender is having an underwhelming campaign after excelling through his first two seasons. Friday's game-winning goal and two-point showing is encouraging, but Slavin still has just three goals and eight points through 31 games, so fantasy expectations should probably remain in check for the immediate future.

Slavin failed to record a point in 20:09 of ice time Friday against the Maple Leafs, giving him just three assists in his last 14 games.
EDGE Analysis
Slavin had a breakthrough season offensively last year for the Canes, playing all 82 games and finishing with 34 points. However, he currently sits with just six points with a quarter of the season gone, so he may just barely crack the 20-point plateau given his current pace. His minus-4 rating is a further source of disappointment for fantasy owners, considering he finished last season at plus-23. Feel free to put him on your bench until he can find a way to turn things around.
