The Colorado Avalanche said captain Gabriel Landeskog (head) could begin skating again "very soon."
The Avs refused to specify a date but did say there's reason for optimism in Landeskog's recovery from what is likely a concussion. However, head injuries are incredibly tricky so there's no real telling when Landeskog will be able to get back on the ice. The young winger's been sidelined since Jan. 26.

The Colorado Avalanche said that there is currently no timetable for the return of Gabriel Landeskog (head/neck) to the lineup.
Landeskog was hit hard by Brad Stuart Saturday and it appeared that Stusrt's elbow got up into Landeskog's face but the Avs forward returned to action after a short trip to the dressing room and he stated after the game he was fine. But he missed practice on Sunday and the symptoms were much worse on Monday. The Avs are not saying he has a concussion, but everything seems to indicate that it is. Stay tuned as it appears that Landeskog's return to the lineup is not close.

According to Colorado, Gabriel Landeskog will not play Monday due to head and neck injuries that he suffered on Saturday courtesy of a hit from San Jose's Brad Stuart.
He was hit during the first period of that game, but managed to return later in the frame. Consider him day-to-day for now. Landeskog has gotten off to a slow start offensively this season with one goal in four games, but he has generated 15 shots and eight hits.

Look for Gabriel Landeskog to play on Monday after taking a big hit to the head on Saturday.
Landeskog was hit in the head by the Sharks Brad Stuart and left the ice to seek medical attention but returned to action at the start of the second stanza. There is always a concern with hits to the head that there may be problems a few days later but so far so good for the sophomore. Keep Landeskog in your lineup if you normally would.

The Avs captain did not come out to start the second period but emerged soon after and finished the game.
