Karlsson (foot) will return to action for Game 1 against the Bruins on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson missed five of the Senators' final seven games of the season, but will be ready in time for the playoffs. Getting back its leading scorer -- 71 points on the year -- should boost Ottawa's chances of defeating Boston in their opening-round series. The blueliner will almost certainly pick up where he left off -- six points in his last six appearances -- and might be considered a lock in most playoff pools and daily contests.

Karlsson (foot) will miss the rest of the regular season -- two more games -- in order to prepare for the playoffs, Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
The celebrated defenseman was ruled out for Saturday's game against the Rangers early Saturday, and now he'll be a spectator for the regular-season finale against the Islanders in New York. Understandably, Senators GM wants to keep Karlsson, the captain, fresh as his club pursues its first Stanley Cup win in franchise history. He finishes the season with 71 points (17 goals, 54 assists) in 77 games after averaging a point per contest in a full 2015-16 campaign.

Karlsson (undisclosed) will not suit up against the Rangers on Saturday, Steve Lloyd of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson will miss his fourth game out of the Sens' last six and should probably be considered questionable at best for the regular season finale versus the Isles on Sunday. When healthy, the blueliner has been capitalizing on his opportunities as he has notched 16 points in his last 15 contests, including two goals and five assists with the man advantage. The Professional Hockey Writers' Association will likely be deciding between Karlsson and San Jose's Brent Burns when voting for the Norris Trophy -- awarded to the league's best defenseman.

Karlsson (undisclosed) is unfit to play Thursday in Boston, Dean Brown of TSN 1200 reports.
EDGE Analysis
The two-time Norris Trophy winner provided some heroics in his last two games, tallying a goal and an assist Monday when he wasn't expected to play and potting another goal Tuesday, but seems to have suffered some kind of setback. Karlsson is Ottawa's best player and one of the best players in the entire league, so the Sens chances to clinch a playoff spot Thursday have certainly been dealt a blow. In his absence, Jyrki Jokipakka will step in to the Ottawa lineup.

Karlsson scored for the third straight day in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Red Wings. However, he did leave the game halfway through the third period due to what coach Guy Boucher called a "stinger on the heel," Graham Greech of TSN 1200 reports.
EDGE Analysis
It sounds like Karlsson has dodged a lasting injury, especially with the bench boss noting that the star blueliner didn't return to the contest simply because he was content with the young defensemen he had on the ice to finish the game. The Sens' captain should be fine for Thursday's road contest against the Bruins, but we'll let you know if that changes for any reason.

Karlsson recorded a power-play goal and added an assist during Monday's shootout win over Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
The star defenseman had missed the previous two games with an undisclosed injury, but Karlsson certainly showed well against the Red Wings. With at least 15 goals, 65 points and 200 shots in each of the past four seasons, Karlsson's high fantasy floor and ceiling make him an elite asset. Continue to roll him out confidently whenever he's in the lineup.

Karlsson (undisclosed) is in the lineup Monday against the Red Wings, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
With blueliners Cody Ceci (lower body) and Marc Methot (hand) both ailing, it was imperative that the Sens' captain return to the lineup as soon as possible. He missed a total of two games with the undisclosed injury, and will look to further help solidify Ottawa's playoff berth while building on his 68 points.

Karlsson (undisclosed) will participate in warmups prior to Monday's contest against the Red Wings, at which point a decision on his status will be made, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Garrioch indicated Sunday that the star blueliner was considered highly doubtful for the tilt and his absence from practice Monday seemingly ruled him out. That's not the case, however, as he will give it a go during warmups in an attempt to provide some solidification among a defensive group that's already without Cody Ceci (lower body) and Marc Methot (hand) for the remainder of the regular season. Expect another update on Karlsson's status closer to puck drop.

Karlsson (undisclosed) is considered highly doubtful for Monday's contest against the Red Wings, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
While he hasn't been officially ruled out, it appears the star blueliner will miss at least Monday's contest in addition to the previous two. The club should provide an official word on his status, but consider him out unless something notes otherwise. Assuming that's the case, it's a quick turnaround for a road game rematch with the Red Wings on Tuesday, so it's questionable if he will make it back in time for that tilt.

The injury to Karlsson (undisclosed) is not considered serious by head coach Guy Boucher, Dean Brown of TSN 1200 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson is one of the top offensive defensemen in the NHL, so it's a big loss to seasonal fantasy and DFS players. However, it sounds like Karlsson's absence is more of a precaution than anything else, as Boucher tries to preserve one of his biggest assets for what the team hopes is a long run in the postseason.
