Karlsson scored a goal and added two assists -- one on the power play -- with two shots on net, two blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-2 rating during Wednesday's win over San Jose.
EDGE Analysis
This is the cross-category production from Karlsson that is often overlooked. The offense is obviously elite, but the shots, blocked shots and occasional penalty are a huge bonus and buoy his fantasy value on the rare nights he doesn't crack the scoresheet. The three-point showing has Karlsson up to 27 points -- seven goals -- through 27 games for the year.

Karlsson scored a goal and added three power-play assists during Monday's loss to Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson has caught fire of late -- three goals and 14 points over his past 13 games -- and is now up to six goals and 24 points for the year. He's an elite offensive defenseman, but don't undervalue his 66 shots and 76 blocked shots, which make Karlsson a high-floor, high-upside option in daily contests.

Karlsson picked up his fifth goal of the season with a marker against the Panthers on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The goals have been a little bit slow to come by, but Karlsson entered the night in the top 10 in assists. On Saturday, Karlsson scored his first goal in six games and just his second in 18 contests. Hopefully this goal gets him going from a goal-scoring standpoint. In addition to five goals, he has 15 assists and 20 points in 25 games.

Karlsson picked up two assists -- one on the power play -- to go along with seven shots on goal and two PIM during Tuesday's 5-4 loss to Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
This is the type of performance we're used to from Karlsson. The superstar Swede has piled up the points in November, finishing up the month with 11 -- one goal and 10 helpers. The most encouraging outcome from Tuesday is the production during special teams, as the blueliner has made a living off the power play during his career. With five points during the man advantage through 23 contests, the 2008 No. 15 pick is due for more damage as the season rolls along.

Karlsson notched a power-play assist in the second period and the game-winning goal in the third Tuesday, lifting the Sens to a 4-3 win over Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
With 16 points in 19 games, Karlsson's a bit short of last year's absurd scoring pace, but he's giving fantasy owners nothing to complain about. Well, maybe one thing -- that helper was only the blueliner's fourth power-play point through 19 games, which is well short of the pace he's established over the last three seasons.

Karlsson picked up an assist and scored the game-winner during the 3-2 shootout win against Philadelphia on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
After two games where he blanked in the scoresheet, Karlsson has went ahead and built himself a three-game point streak. The superstar blueliner hasn't lit the lamp in November, but he does have six helpers in eight contests. The 26-year-old is inching towards another point-per-game pace, although owners would still like to see more production during the man advantage. Karlsson has just three power-play points to his name, but expect that to skyrocket as the season rolls along.

Karlsson collected two third-period assists during Friday's win over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson stuffed the stat line with two assists, four shots and shot blocked shot over 29:30 of ice time. He remains an elite fantasy defenseman with 12 points -- three goals -- over 14 games thus far.

Karlsson has three goals, seven assists, a plus-5 rating and six PIM through 13 games in 2016-17.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson is off to a solid start this year, but excluding the opener against Toronto (three points) the blueliner hasn't had many signature games. The Swede has just two multi-point outings, and in the month of November, he has reached the box score in just two of five outings. In most formats, the 26-year-old was the No. 1 defenseman off the board and owners were expecting a point-per-game pace. The Senators offense is struggling and still haven't found their identity -- 26th in average goals per game compared to ninth last year -- but that is to be expected with growing pains coming along with new coach Guy Boucher. Ottawa's defense has been solid and it's led to 32 blocked shots by Karlsson, but the most noticeable issue would be the 2:59 of ice time during the power play. The past three seasons, the superstar has seen 4:38 during the man advantage, a number that was supposed to stay true with Boucher's power-play expertise. While it's entirely too early to hit the panic button and 10 points through 13 games is nothing to balk at, Karlsson and the entire Senators offense continue to be one to watch as they look to return to last year's explosive form.

Karlsson assisted on the game-winner and recorded five shots on goal during Tuesday's 2-1 overtime victory against the Hurricanes.
EDGE Analysis
After starting the season with two goals and five assists, the Swedish superstar has cooled down significantly, notching just two points in five games. The 26-year-old hasn't been short on opportunities -- 11 shots on goal in that span of five contests -- but owners are used to a point-per-game pace with the potential for a massive outing any given night. Through nine games, the 2008 No. 15 pick has two power-play points, a number expected to skyrocket as the season rolls along (over 25 points the last three years). While the past few contests are not ideal from the top blueliner off the board, Karlsson remains elite and is due for a big night in the near future.

Karlsson notched a power-play assist and an empty-net goal to seal Tuesday's 7-4 victory against Arizona. He finished plus-3.
EDGE Analysis
That's four straight games with a point and seven total points with a plus-7 rating for Karlsson to open the year -- and yet he's been overshadowed a bit among blueliners by Brent Burns, who's looking even better than last year. It's going to be fun watching those two battle it out for the title of fantasy's top defenseman as the season goes on.
