Karlsson went plus-4 with an even-strength assist in Game 3 on Wednesday, helping his team to a 5-1 win over the Penguins to the sheer delight of the home crowd.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson was a force on both ends of the ice and even found time to mock Sidney Crosby for his habitual on-ice huddles with teammates. The Swedish blueliner has averaged 26:40 of ice time in the active series, holding strong in spite of two hairline fractures in his heel that presumably will require attention in the offseason.

Karlsson scored the game-winning goal and collected a first-period assist while logging 28:44 of ice time during Tuesday's Game 6 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The Ottawa captain posted consecutive multi-point games to eliminate the Rangers. Karlsson is playing through two hairline fractures in his foot, but with a goal and four assists over the past two contests, it sure doesn't look like it. Avoiding a Game 7 showdown will allow the defenseman extra time to rest and recoup his injury. Karlsson will need to be a game-changer again in the Eastern Conference Finals, which is right in his wheelhouse consider he's already posted 13 points through 12 games during the playoffs.

Karlsson (foot) was brilliant Saturday, picking up three assists and leading all skaters in ice time in the Senators 5-4 overtime win over the Rangers in Game 5.
EDGE Analysis
He set up the game-tying and game-winning goals. Karlsson left Game 4 after two periods of work, but you'd barely know that he's playing with two hairline cracks in his heel by the way he's skating. This Norris nominee has taken his game to another level.

Karlsson (foot) will not be under any type of minutes restriction in Game 5 against the Rangers on Saturday, Chris Johnston of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
The prolific puck-moving Swede was limited to the first two periods in Thursday's Game 4 loss, but the Eastern Conference semifinals are tied up at two games apiece and Karlsson is needed more than ever. He hasn't missed a game in these playoffs despite the existence of two hairline fractures in his left heel, showing tremendous resolve and leadership as team captain. The two-time Norris Trophy winner has struggled to a minus-4 rating and no points over the last two contests, but he was at a point-per-game starting with the quarterfinal match against the Bruins.

Karlsson (undisclosed) will suit up for Game 5 on Saturday against the Rangers, TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Guy Boucher told reporters following Thursday's contest that Karlson could have played the third period, but the team made the decision to keep him out of the lineup. The defenseman has been held off the scoresheet in back-to-back contests after having racked up a goal and seven helpers in his previous eight games. The Sens are back home Saturday, which has been the key to this series thus far, so perhaps the 26-year-old can get back on track.

Karlsson (undisclosed) left Game 4 after two periods, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Swede has been dealing with hairline foot fractures throughout the playoffs, so that is likely the culprit, but the team hasn't said whether that is or isn't the cause. It could be much needed rest in a blowout, or it could be something more serious, so expect more news before Game 5 on Saturday.

Karlsson has a point in three consecutive games dating back to the first-round series finale against Boston.
EDGE Analysis
In fact, Karlsson has at least one point in every playoff game he's played thus far aside from Game 5 against the Bruins. Despite the fact that he is playing with two hairline fractures in his foot, the Swedish blueliner is averaging an astounding 31:06 of ice time while amassing a goal and seven assists during the Senators' playoff run. He'll look to extend his points streak to four games Tuesday night in New York.

Karlsson scored the game-winning goal on one of his five shots in Thursday's Game 1 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Karlsson's shot from along the boards with 4:11 to play grazed Rangers center Derek Stepan before deflecting off the back of Henrik Lundqvist's mask and in. While it was a fortunate break for Ottawa's captain, he created his luck with a strong overall performance that led all skaters in shots and ice time (28:54).

Karlsson played the first-round series against Boston despite two hairline fractures in his left heel, Joe McDonald of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Just a hockey player being a hockey player. The injury reportedly occurred when Karlsson blocked a shot during a March 28 game against Philadelphia and it caused him to miss three of the last five regular season games. While this sort of injury could've kept the star defenseman out during the regular season, it's the playoffs and he has already shown he can compete at a high level despite the ailment, so it's unlikely that he'll miss ice time because of it.

Karlsson collected two assists -- one on the power play -- and logged 30:15 of ice time during Monday's Game 3 win over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
The Norris candidate is now up to four assists through the first three games of the series and has topped 30 minutes of ice time in consecutive outings. His hefty role provides a high fantasy floor, and his offensive upside offers an even higher ceiling. As a result, Karlsson's an elite fantasy asset and worth nightly consideration in daily contests.
