Karlsson (undisclosed) will participate in warmups prior to Monday's contest against the Red Wings, at which point a decision on his status will be made, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.

Garrioch indicated Sunday that the star blueliner was considered highly doubtful for the tilt and his absence from practice Monday seemingly ruled him out. That's not the case, however, as he will give it a go during warmups in an attempt to provide some solidification among a defensive group that's already without Cody Ceci (lower body) and Marc Methot (hand) for the remainder of the regular season. Expect another update on Karlsson's status closer to puck drop.
