First-year goalie Eddie Lack made 30 saves for his rookie-leading fourth shutout of the season in Vancouver's 2-0 win over Nashville Wednesday night.
Lack, who was making his 12th straight start, was forced to make his best three saves on Patric Hornqvist, including a couple of great point-blank chances late in the first period. It was a good bounce back performance for Lack, who gave up six third-period goals in a loss against the New York Islanders his last home game, and struggled at times during the recent road trip. He now has a 13-14-4 record with a 2.34 GAA and .915 save percentage.

No real surprise there. The Canucks have been leaning heavily on Lack since they traded away Roberto Luongo. Lack has a 2.41 GAA and .912 save percentage in 33 games this season.

Eddie Lack and the Canucks dropped a 4-3 decision in Tampa Bay Monday night.
The last man standing in the Vancouver crease has struggled of late, but his early-season success make his statistics decent. His record of 12-14-4 is nothing to get excited over, but a 2.41 GAA and a .912 GAA are perfectly reasonable.

Eddie Lack will get the nod again for Vancouver on Monday night.
He made 26 stops in a 4-3 shootout win over Florida on Sunday. Lack is still searching for some consistency, as the Canucks learn if he has what it takes to be a starting goaltender in the NHL.

It's probably a relief more than anything else that the Vancouver Canucks (and Eddie Lack) beat the Florida Panthers (and Roberto Luongo) on Sunday 4-3 via a shootout.
He's now 12-13-4 with a .914 save percentage this season. While he's up-and-down, he should get plenty of starts, so he's a solid second and strong third goalie option.

Lack has just three victories in his past 19 games, dropping his record to 11-13-4 this season with a .915 save percentage and 2.34 goals against average. Lack has lost four of his six starts since the Canucks dealt starting goalie Roberto Luongo to the Panthers right before the trade deadline.

Eddie Lack will play between the pipes on Wednesday.
Lack was great for 40 minutes against the New York Islanders on Monday...then the incident happened. Although he can't be completely blamed for the Islanders' seven-goal third period, he certainly played a large role in it. Canucks coach John Tortorella felt it was important to get Lack back out there following one of the worst 20-minute stretches in the history of the franchise and given that they've traded away Cory Schneider and Roberto Luongo, it's not like Vancouver has a particularly appealing alternative goaltender anyways.

Eddie Lack allowed six goals on only 27 shots in the Canucks 7-4 loss to the Islanders Monday night.
Lack was perfect after two periods, but in the third he allowed six goals. He has lost four of his last five starts for the Canucks. He now has a 10-12-4 record with a 2.30 goals-against average and .916 save percentage. He'll have to do better if the Canucks want to make it to the playoffs.

Eddie Lack backstopped Vancouver to a 2-1 win over the Flames on Saturday night with 22 saves.
Without Roberto Luongo, the number-one job is Lack's to lose, and he'll have to do it on a team in disarray right now that still has playoff aspirations. Lack's win ended a four-game losing streak for he and the Canucks. he has a 2.20 goals-against average and .921 save percentage this season.
