While secondary helpers aren't all that exciting, it all counts the same in fantasy, and Larkin's now up to 25 assists on the season. At this rate, the speedster's going to obliterate his career-high of 45 points set as a rookie in 2015-16, and he needs just one more man-advantage point to set a personal best in that area as well. Let us extend our congratulations if you happened to draft Larkin in the late rounds following his sophomore slump of a 2016-17 campaign that included an egregious minus-28 rating.

The goals aren't coming for the young center, but the assists continue to pile in bunches. Larkin now has five assists in his past two games, which is as many goals as he's got all season. The goals should come eventually, as Larkin actually had more goals than assists in his first two seasons in the league. Still, given that he's three points shy of last year's total already, owners don't have much reason to complain.

Larkin now has an impressive 22 assists for the campaign, but fantasy owners would love to see him start finding the goal column more frequently. His 6.0 shooting percentage is likely unsustainably low, so speculating on an uptick in tallies with a buy-low offer could reward.

Larkin garnered a secondary assist Saturday, but it wasn't even close to enough as the Red Wings lost to the Canadiens 10-1 in Monteral.

The hometown boy has been incredibly consistent this season, and Larkin's fantasy owners likely appreciated his no-quit attitude from this latest outing; after all, he helped set up a Luke Glendening goal in the third period when his team was staked out to an 8-0 deficit. He'll look to stretch his point streak to three games in Tuesday's home clash with the Jets.

Larkin recorded a shorthanded goal to complement a power-play assist and another even-strength helper in Wednesday's 8-2 home rout over the Flames.

The trailblazing pivot was one of four Red Wings to compile three points in this contest. Larkin's been the most consistent offensive contributor donning the Winged Wheel and now has 18 points (three goals, 15 assists) through 19 games. Use him well.

Still, if the speedster's fantasy owners had their druthers, he'd be increasing his efficiency with the man advantage as only one-fifth of his points have been had in that special teams scenario.

Despite shooting a career-low 7.4 percent in the early going, the 21-year-old center is enjoying a bounce-back campaign in his third year after dropping from 45 points as a rookie to just 32 last season.

The fleet-footed pivot dished to new linemate Andreas Athanasiou for the game's first goal. With Larkin now skating with Double A and net-front brute Anthony Mantha on the second unit, this could very well be one of the most exciting trios in the entire league. Each of those players are highly skilled offensively and will be extremely difficult to contain on an odd-man rush.

Larkin has a goal or assist in all but two games this season, and he's still averaging a point per game despite his team laboring through an active four-game losing skid.

This is the level of consistency the Red Wings were asking from Larkin after he experienced the dreaded sophomore slump last season. On the downside, he's only collected one point -- a goal -- on the man advantage despite averaging a career-high 2:24 of ice time in that spot through nine games this season.
