Larkin hasn't found the scoresheet in the past seven games.
EDGE Analysis
Larkin has been playing bottom-six minutes, which curtails his fantasy production to some degree. With the trade deadline looming and the Wings well out of the playoff picture, GM Ken Holland is reportedly expected to deal second-line scoring veteran Thomas Vanek -- he would be a rental player for teams as an unrestricted free agent this summer -- and that could result in a higher depth chart position for Larkin, who is exempt from exposure in the 2017 Las Vegas expansion draft.

Larkin (upper body) has been cleared to play in Tuesday's home game against the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
Larkin was able to rest through the All-Star break, which wasn't the case last season, when he set the record for fastest skater in the SuperSkills competition and had participated in the All-Star Game itself. Larkin is stealthily sniping per usual with 12 goals in 47 games, but he's caught in a bottom-six role and only averaging 16:20 of ice time. In standard leagues, he's best viewed as No. 3 or No. 4 fantasy forward at this juncture.

Larkin (upper body) could rejoin the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Devils, Ansar Kahn of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 20-year-old's sophomore campaign for the Red Wings hasn't produced as promising a result as he displayed as a rookie. Through 47 games, Larkin owns just 18 points (12 goals, six assists) and a minus-14 rating, but his presence in the lineup still makes the Wings a better team. Expect more info on him on gameday, if not following the team's practice session.

Larkin (upper body) was moved to injured reserve by the Red Wings on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Larkin was already ruled out for the team's next two contests, so it shouldn't come as a huge surprise that the team made this move. He will be eligible to rejoin the lineup next Tuesday when the Red Wings host the Devils. Meanwhile, Drew Miller is expected to be recalled from AHL Grand Rapids to take his place on the active roster.

Larkin (upper body) will miss the next two games, Ansar Khan of MLive reports.
EDGE Analysis
The two games in question are a back-to-back on Tuesday and Wednesday, after which the Wings will have five days off for the All-Star break. Given the rest, Larkin could very well be back right on schedule on Jan. 31, but more information about that will be out once the All-Star Game is out of the way.

Larkin registered a goal with an assist and a plus-4 rating during Monday's win over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
This was Larkin's first multi-point outing since Oct. 25, and the sophomore has struggled to provide consistent offense throughout the season. 12 goals, 18 points and a minus-13 rating don't move the fantasy needle in most seasonal settings, and while Larkin has a good shot at turning things around, there are no guarantees. After all, his struggles date back to the end of his debut campaign (five goals and seven points over the final 28 games of 2015-16).

Larkin was a non-factor offensively in Saturday's 6-3 home win over the Penguins.
EDGE Analysis
Detroit tied a season-high for scores and yet the versatile speedster wasn't able to muster a single shot on goal for the second straight game. Larkin appears to be uncomfortable in his latest third-line role; last season he led the team in plus-minus at plus-11, but he currently has the worst rating on the team with a minus-17 mark through 43 contests. Not all is lost, though, as the Michigan native is tied with veteran Thomas Vanek and rookie Anthony Mantha for the team lead in goals at 11. You'll have to take the good with the bad when it comes to Larkin.

Larkin potted his 10th goal of the season Saturday, tipping home a rebound in the 6-4 win over the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't the prettiest goal we've ever seen, but was surely welcomed by the Red Wings and Larkin's fantasy owners alike. The speed demon deposited a pair of goals -- albeit with a minus-5 rating -- in a five-game home stand for which the Winged Wheel secured just a single victory. The Michigan native is scoring about once every three games, so it's not quite a sophomore slump, but Larkin still has serious work to do to match his 45-point effort as a rookie last season.

Larkin skated to a minus-2 rating but found twine on the power play in Friday's 4-1 home loss to the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
Larkin knotted the score at one goal apiece early in the second frame, as goalie Sergei Bobrovsky lost track of the puck following a fortuitous bounce in the speedster's direction. It's been a frustrating sophomore campaign for Larkin. The versatile forward does lead the team with nine goals in a full 28 games, but the minus-7 rating leaves a lot to be desired and he's not even at a half-point per game pace.

Larkin potted his eighth goal of the season in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Penguins.
EDGE Analysis
Larkin lifted a one-timer from the circle to give the Red Wings a 3-1 lead, but after that, it was four unanswered tallies from the Penguins to finish the contest. It's been a trying sophomore season for No. 71. The speeder has skated to a minus-6 rating with only nine points though 25 games, but in fairness to him, he's been moved from the wing to the center spot and back at times this season, and it's been hard for him to build chemistry with others due to the team being so banged up -- nine players are currently on IR.
