After two consecutive shutouts on November 19 and 21, Anderson has allowed 11 goals over his last three starts. Anderson will be looking to get back on track Tuesday in front of his home crowd and against the lowest-scoring team in the league, the Flyers.

Anderson probably had nightmares about Mikkel Boedker, as the Coyotes forward beat him once in each period. This was easily the worst performance of the season for Anderson, with his seasonal GAA rising to 2.78 after Saturday's stinker -- that ranks 34th in the league, but his 10-5-3 record balances things out a bit.

Anderson will guard the net for Saturday's road start against the Coyotes.

EDGE Analysis

Ottawa will embark on its final match of a three-game road trip. Anderson has performed drastically worse away from Ottawa as he owns a 2.36 GAA at home this season compared to a road GAA of 3.12.

Anderson improved to 10-4-3 while stopping 40-of-43 shots Wednesday in Colorado.

EDGE Analysis

Anderson's 2.71 GAA is inflated due to a few rough outings, but he has been most solid all season. The 34-year-old netminder hasn't shown any signs of slowing down this season, and is currently on pace to challenge his career high of 38 wins from 2009-10 after emerging victorious in each of his last four appearances.

Anderson will be the starting goalie Wednesday night against the Avalanche, TSN's Steve Lloyd reports.

Anderson allowed four goals on 37 shots to win Tuesday's 7-4 scoring bonanza against the Stars. Sens backup netminder Andrew Hammond is on injured reserve with a head injury, so it's not a total surprise to see Anderson scheduled for both sides of the back-to-back.

To be fair, three of those goals came with the game pretty well in hand, as Ottawa entered the third period up 5-1 and the Stars weren't able to close the gap to anything less than two. That makes three straight wins for Anderson, though he hardly lived up to his performance in consecutive shutouts last Thursday and Saturday. In his last 10 games, he's posted those two shutouts and outstanding performances against the Rangers, Habs and Jets, but has sprinked in three four-goal games, a five-goal game, and a seven-goal disaster. That's pretty typical fare for Anderson, whose lack of consistency even when he posts strong stats overall is exactly what opened him up to Andrew Hammond (head) stealing his job down the stretch last year.

Anderson will start between the pipes Tuesday night against the Stars.

Anderson has shutouts in each of his past two performances. He will need to continue the relentless play Tuesday while facing a Stars team that has won its past five games and currently sits atop the Western Conference standings with a 17-4-0 record.

OK, so the shutouts were over the Flyers and Jackets, but a shutout is still a shutout. And maybe it's a sign that a little consistency might be returning to his game. Anderson is a good goalie, but not a great one. But even good ones can turn up the heat for stretches.

Unfortunately, his inconsistency makes Anderson tough to use on a regular basis in fantasy -- over his last 10 games, the veteran netminder's posted save marks of .950 or better four times, but finished under .900 in each of the other six.
