Perry will not play Wednesday night due to flu-like symptoms. Perry will take a seat along with fellow first-liner Ryan Getzlaf, as both players are feeling a bit under the weather in advance of Wednesday night's contest. Consider Perry day-to-day heading into Friday's matchup with the Coyotes.

Perry potted a goal and dished out an assist in Friday's win over the Stars. After being held off the scoresheet for the previous three games, Perry didn't take long to reemerge as a vital offensive cog for the Ducks, tallying his 10th goal of the season and assisting on Nate Thompson's overtime winner. Despite the small scoring drought, Perry still ranks tied for fourth in the league in scoring with 14 points.

Perry took a break from scoring Sunday, dropping the gloves and collecting 17 PIM in a loss to San Jose. Perry has been an elite fantasy asset through 10 game this season, recording nine goals, 12 points, 23 PIM, four power-play goals, 34 shots on goal, and a plus-7 rating. You really can't do much better. Keep this guy rolling, as he will be back scoring goals in no time. He's that good.

Perry kept rolling Friday against the Blue Jackets, delivering a power-play goal and an assist at even strength to finish the contest with a plus-2 rating. With the goal -- his fourth in two nights -- Perry vaulted ahead of the Rangers' Rick Nash for the league lead and also joined teammate Ryan Getzlaf atop the NHL leaderboard for points (12). Perry's nine goals in eight games represent the fastest start to a season in franchise history, making the former Hart Trophy winner a very early frontrunner to take home the hardware again in 2014-15.

Perry lit up the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday for three goals and his second hat trick of the season in a 4-1 win. He also fired six shots on net and skated to a plus-3. Is this guy money or what? Perry now has eight goals and 10 points in seven games and even though he only has six PIM and two assists, we really don't mind. The guy is a perennial fantasy stud who fills the net and looks well on his way to again being a cornerstone of fantasy rosters this season.

Perry scored the game-winning goal in Friday's comeback victory over the Wild. Perry's tiebreaker came with 8:25 left in the third period, with the winger capitalizing on a turnover by the Wild's Jason Zucker. Perry led a spirited attempt at a comeback with three goals Thursday, but it wasn't enough in a 6-4 loss to the Penguins. A tough one for the Ducks, but Perry already looks like he's in midseason form. He should make another run at 40-plus goals this year.

Ducks star Corey Perry had high praise for the Kings after they were trounced 6-2 in Game 7 of their playoff series and were eliminated Friday night. "We're close," Perry said. "But close isn't good enough. We're trying to write our own memories, but that's a great team over there. They play a hard-nosed physical game and they forecheck the hell out of you. They're probably the toughest team to play when they have the lead. And they have a great goaltender (Jonathan Quick). They're certainly not a 3 seed." Actually, three of the four Stanley Cup semifinalists -- Montreal, Chicago and Los Angeles -- were No. 3 in their divisions. Only the Rangers were second.

Corey Perry scored one of two Ducks goals on Friday night during a miserable Game 7 loss against the L.A. Kings. Perry's 11th point in 13 games this post-season came during the Ducks 6-2 defeat at the Honda Center. Perry connected early in the third period, but the Ducks were never even close to matching the Kings' intensity in the deciding loss. Bruce Boudreau, Ryan Getzlaf, Teemu Selanne and the mighty Ducks are now eliminated from Stanley Cup contention while the rival Kings trudge forward.
