Perry (illness) has been diagnosed with a viral gland infection and will undergo further testing.
What was initially thought to be a minor case of the flu has morphed into a larger problem for Perry, who has missed three straight games with the illness and has yet to resume skating. Though Perry is feeling better, both he and defenseman Francois Beauchemin have been advised to stay away from the team to prevent their contagious diseases from spreading to the rest of the team. More information on Perry's condition should be known when the Ducks receive the results of his medical tests Wednesday, but there remains no definitive timetable for the forward's return.

Perry wasn't expected to play Sunday anyway, and the move is retroactive and will allow him to be activated for Wednesday's game. Dany Heatley or Tim Jackman will likely slot in while Perry is out.

Perry (illness) is doubtful to play Sunday versus the Canucks, NHL.com's Curtis Zupke reports.
Though Perry's condition has been reportedly improving, he remained off the ice for Saturday's practice, making it unlikely he'll return to the lineup. He's missed the previous two games with the flu, allowing Devante Smith-Pelly to pick up some ice time on the team's top line.

Perry (illness) did not practice Saturday, Lance Pugmire of the LA Times reports.
Perry is still questionable for Sunday's game against the Canucks, and even though he didn't practice Saturday, his status is improving. Perry is off to an electric start this season, with 11 goals and four assists through 13 games.

Perry (illness) will not play Friday against the Coyotes, Elliott Teaford of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Perry wasn't able to participate in either of the Ducks' skates Thursday or Friday, suggesting he's still feeling the effects of the illness that made him a late scratch Wednesday night. While he'll be in the press box for another game, it shouldn't be long before Perry is back operating at full strength. The winger leads the NHL with 11 goals.

Perry (illness) didn't practice Thursday and remains day-to-day, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Coach Bruce Boudreau said that Perry, who missed Wednesday's loss to the Islanders with the flu, just needs a little more time for the illness to run its course. His status for Friday's game against the Coyotes likely won't be known until after the Ducks complete their morning skate.

Perry will not play Wednesday night due to flu-like symptoms.
Perry will take a seat along with fellow first-liner Ryan Getzlaf, as both players are feeling a bit under the weather in advance of Wednesday night's contest. Consider Perry day-to-day heading into Friday's matchup with the Coyotes.

Perry potted a goal and dished out an assist in Friday's win over the Stars.
After being held off the scoresheet for the previous three games, Perry didn't take long to reemerge as a vital offensive cog for the Ducks, tallying his 10th goal of the season and assisting on Nate Thompson's overtime winner. Despite the small scoring drought, Perry still ranks tied for fourth in the league in scoring with 14 points.

Perry took a break from scoring Sunday, dropping the gloves and collecting 17 PIM in a loss to San Jose.
Perry has been an elite fantasy asset through 10 game this season, recording nine goals, 12 points, 23 PIM, four power-play goals, 34 shots on goal, and a plus-7 rating. You really can't do much better. Keep this guy rolling, as he will be back scoring goals in no time. He's that good.
