Perry led all skaters with seven shots on goal, but he finished with a minus-1 rating as his Ducks were eliminated with a 2-1 Game 7 home loss to the Predators on Wednesday.

Perry scored 34 goals in the regular season, leaving most wondering when the winger will find twine in these playoffs. While the Ducks pulled out the road win, the 30-year-old may be needed for more than the two assists he's accumulated so far, especially with Anaheim's back still against the wall after losing home ice. In three games, the 60-plus point veteran has recorded just six shots (five in Game 1 and none in Game 2), a tell-tale sign that Perry needs to be more aggressive around the crease.

Perry finished the 2015-16 season with 34 goals, 28 assists and 68 PIM in 82 games played.

EDGE Analysis

This whole Ducks team had a theme of coming from the bottom of the barrel all the way to the top, and Perry was no different. While his season wasn't as drastically down as some of his teammates, he still ended the season much stronger than he started it. Once January hit, though, Perry really turned it on with 21 goals and 17 assists in his final 46 games. While his overall point total was his lowest in a full slate of games since the 2011-12 season, he certainly ended the season on a high note and will give his team a huge boost in the playoffs should he be able to continue this level of play.

The tally proved to be the game-winner, clinching the Pacific Division crown for Anaheim. Perry finished the regular season with 62 points -- down from some of his better years -- but he closed it out strong with 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in his last 15 games as he gears up for a postseason run.

He has 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in his last 14 games, but Perry has delivered his lowest point-per-game pace this season (0.75) since 2011-12. He's a solid bet heading into the postseason, as the Ducks will be a hard out in a drive toward a Cup.

He also has gotten back to being great on the power play, too, as he has compiled 12 power-play goals on the season.

Still, the 30-year-old sees almost three minutes of ice time with the opposing team in the box, which bodes well for Perry and his chances of exceeding last season's 55 points (tied after Saturday's outing).

Perry should be started each and every night as Anaheim is showing no signs of letting up down the stretch.
