Perry made his first goal of the year a clutch one, scoring on the power play with six seconds left to tie the Panthers on Wednesday in a game the Ducks would go on to win in a shootout.
EDGE Analysis
Finally. Generally a hyper-reliable source of goals and points, it took Perry until a 6-on-4 advantage in the waning moments of the 12th game of the year, when the puck bounced to him off a deflection and he made no mistake firing it home. Perry's horrible start has been one of the big storylines in the first month of the season, but with three points in the last four games now, he's starting to put it behind him.

Perry got an assist in Tuesday's loss to Dallas, but has yet to score a goal in nine games so far this season.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't too long ago when Perry scored 50 goals in a season, so for the former MVP to go nine games without a score is pretty unexpected. Perry isn't the only one struggling, as his long-time linemate Ryan Getzlaf is also off to a rough start. Perry is one of the most talented scoring forwards in the league, so there's no need to do anything drastic. It would be wise to give Anaheim some time to get things together before giving up on Perry this season.

Perry assisted on Rickard Rakell's late first period score in Sunday's win over the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
Perry finally recorded his first point of the season, something that must have been weighing heavily on the mind of all Ducks fans given Anaheim's complete inability to generate offence early in the season. After the early season experiment of separating Perry and longtime linemate Ryan Getzlaf failed miserably, the two are back together on the team's top line with team newbie Carl Hagelin. Look for Perry to get his usual scoring touch back as the Ducks begin to gain some momentum through the early part of the season.

Perry scored two goals on six shots in Tuesday's preseason victory over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old had another great season last year, finishing with 33 goals and 22 assists in 67 games. His shooting percentage was one of the highest marks of his career at 17.1 percent, but has been trending in the right direction on that front and is in line for another big season even if his shooting percentage dips a bit.

Perry, who is dealing with a minor right knee injury, is expected to be fine for Sunday's Game 1 against the Blackhawks, the Orange County Register reports.
Perry suffered the injury during Sunday's Game 5 win over the Flames, but he still managed to score the series-clinching goal in overtime. While the star winger will get some time off during practice this week, Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau is not concerned about Perry's knee.

Perry was the hero in Game 5 Sunday, scoring in overtime to send the Ducks to the Western Conference Final.
A fantastic evening for Perry, who finished the night with a whopping eight shots on goal. The 29-year-old has been a beast in these playoffs, notching seven goals and a league-high 15 points in nine games. It was unclear if Perry was going to return to the game after he exited with a knee injury in the second period. He found a way to overcome any pain though, sending the Ducks to the Western Conference Final, where they will play the Chicago Blackhawks. With two game-winning goals, 42 shots on goal and a plus-8 rating, Perry has been one of the NHL's best player this postseason and should be a key contributor once again in Round 3.

Perry tallied two assists in Sunday's Game 2 win over Calgary.
The Ducks have now won their first six playoff contests, due in no small part to Perry's prolific scoring rate. He now has 13 points in six playoff games, and a commanding lead atop the NHL playoff scoring race.

Perry scored two goals and added two assists -- one of each on the power play -- in Thursday's Game 1 victory over Calgary.
This is Perry's second four-point game of the playoffs, as he's been an absolute monster so far. With five goals and six assists through five games in this postseason, he's given opposing defensemen and netminders a lot to think about. Despite having only played in five playoff contests, Perry's easily the NHL's leading scorer so far in the chase for the Cup.

Perry recorded his sixth and seventh points of the playoffs -- both assists -- in Wednesday's Game 4 win over the Jets.
The good times keep on rollin' for the Canadian, who now sits on seven points in four playoff games. Unfortunately for Perry owners, his Ducks are done for the time being as they handled the Jets in a four-game sweep. Perry will have an opportunity to add to his point total in the second round against either the Flames or the Canucks.
