MacArthur (concussion) will take a baseline test Tuesday with the goal being to return for Thursday's matchup against Tampa Bay if he passes, Brent Wallace of TSN Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
MacArthur hasn't appeared in a game since Oct. 14, recording no points in five outings this season. The 30-year-old winger would provide a much-needed boost for the Sens as they push for a playoff spot, but he'll most likely need to shake off some rust with such a long absence. Even still, the former third-round pick has 91 points to show for his three-year career with Ottawa, an excellent sign that production is possible -- and expected -- once he's more comfortable in the lineup. Snatching MacArthur off waivers may be wise, especially if you need depth.

MacArthur (concussion) will continue to travel with the team, but is not expected to be available during the upcoming three-game road trip, reports Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun.
EDGE Analysis
MacArthur still needs to pass a baseline test, which will put him one step closer to returning to the ice. The Senators are catching fire, winning their past three games as they prepare for Edmonton on Tuesday. It was reported that the winger could miss the rest of the season if the team wasn't trending towards a playoff push, so the recent streak may bode well for MacArthur and his potential to rejoin game action.

MacArthur (concussion) is hoping to return in early March, according to the Ottawa Citizen.
EDGE Analysis
MacArthur plans to travel with the team for next week's games, and while his return would be a tremendous boost for Ottawa, it was noted that he could miss the rest of the season if the team is out of playoff contention. The 30-year-old has only appeared in four outings this year, and has 91 points in 141 games with the Senators.

MacArthur (concussion) was able to return to skating Tuesday, Steve Lloyd of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
MacArthur was also able to take contact in practice Monday, which represents a big step in the right direction. The winger has been out since October with a concussion, and while he remains without a firm timetable to return to game action, he appears to be progressing well and maybe nearing a return.

MacArthur (concussion) stayed on the ice for part of Wednesday's practice, Brent Wallace of TSN Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
MacArthur reportedly looked good in his first practice since suffering a concussion in October, but exited just before the start of contact drills. He's still a ways away from rejoining the lineup, but the veteran winger is reportedly targeting a return by the end of the month. Still, he took a nice step forward in his recovery Wednesday, and should receive another update when he gets closer to rejoining his teammates in game action.

MacArthur (concussion) skated Wednesday, Tony Caldwell of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
MacArthur, who skated by himself, has been out since Oct. 14 with the concussion issue. He remains without a timetable for his return, but it's an encouraging sign that he's on the ice at all. MacArthur is proficient with the puck, having recorded three seasons of 20 or more goals since 2010-11, when he was a member of the Maple Leafs. The Sens really need that kind of production since the team has a minus-6 goal differential while struggling over the past 10 games with a 4-5-1 record.

MacArthur (concussion) traveled with Ottawa on their most recent road trip.
EDGE Analysis
MacArthur traveling with the team should be a good sign for his return, yet he remains without a timetable. The 30-year-old has not played since Oct. 14th, making it 31 missed game this year. The Senators need to get the winger back soon as the injuries are starting to pile up.

MacArthur (concussion) is not nearing a return and remains without a timetable, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
MacArthur appeared in just four games this season before sustaining a concussion in a mid-October tilt, and apparently hasn't made much progress in the six weeks since. Concussions are always a difficult injury to project, but the winger looks to be out for the foreseeable future as of now.

General manager Bryan Murray confirmed that MacArthur has been dealing with a concussion Tuesday, Ian Mendes of TSN 1200 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although NHL clubs are usually intentionally vague when it comes to injuries, the fashion in which MacArthur suffered his "upper-body injury" in Wednesday's game against Columbus made it clear that the 30-year-old forward was likely dealing with a concussion, a notion that was confirmed by general manager Bryan Murray on Tuesday. He has missed Ottawa's last two games with the ailment, and will need to complete the league's concussion protocol before being cleared to play. MacArthur's status for Thursday's game against the Devils is up in the air at this point in time.

MacArthur (upper body) will not play in Saturday's game against the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
MacArthur will skip his second straight game Saturday because of the issue, but the team doesn't play again until Thursday after that. Perhaps the long rest will be enough for him to rejoin the lineup at that point, but his participation in practice next week should be a big indicator of his potential availability.
