The Sens are not trying to rush MacArthur (concussion) back, who has been improving the past few days but has only progressed to riding a stationary bike, Ken Warren of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryan Dzingel has cemented himself on the second line, replacing MacArthur for the time being. The 31-year-old has not seen game action in a year, as his 2015-16 campaign was cut short by a concussion and he never fully recovered until the offseason. The minimal progress almost certainly rules the winger out for the season opener, and with a history of head injuries, the Sens are taking a cautious approach with the veteran and it's hard to tell when we'll see him take the ice again.

MacArthur (concussion) has been working with a trainer and is hoping to return to the ice soon.
EDGE Analysis
MacArthur suffered a concussion after he was errantly hit by his teammate Patrick Sieloff in a scrimmage Sunday. Four days later, he is reportedly making progress in his rehab as he's resumed physical activity. The 31-year-old winger has a history of concussions so it seems probable that the Senators will be cautious in moving him forward in his rehab.

MacArthur required assistance off the ice following a hit in Sunday's scrimmage by teammate Patrick Sieloff and has suffered a concussion, Wayne Scanlan of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
EDGE Analysis
This issue becomes much more concerning when his past struggles with concussions (missed nearly all of 2015 because of it) are considered. The veteran winger is expected to undergo evaluation again Monday.

MacArthur required assistance leaving the ice after taking a hit from Patrick Sieloff in Sunda's scrimmage, Brent Wallace of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is especially concerning given that he missed most of 2015-16 with a concussion, though the diagnosis of this injury has yet to be confirmed. More information on his status should arise in the coming days.

MacArthur is fully healthy after suffering through a concussion for most of the season, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
MacArthur is skating twice a week at home, and plans to ramp up his activity in August in order to be sharp heading into training camp. "I feel better on the ice and I feel as good as I've felt, so we'll see what happens," the winger said. The 31-year-old also expressed his excitement for new coach Guy Boucher, especially his expertise in the power play. MacArthur averaged 3:13 of ice time during the man advantage in the 2014-15 season.

MacArthur (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2015-16 campaign.
EDGE Analysis
MacArthur recently passed his baseline test, but must not have been progressing well enough to rejoin the club over the next couple weeks. The winger will now turn his focuses to beginning preparation for the 2016-17 season after a wasted 2015-16 campaign in which he played just four games. Assuming the issue isn't career-threatening, he should be good to go for the start of training camp.

MacArthur (concussion) passed a baseline test Friday, but he'll meet with general manager Bryan Murray on Saturday to gauge whether to play again this season, Ken Warren of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's great news that MacArthur is symptom-free after only appearing in four games this season, but with Ottawa only playing for pride at this point, it's almost unnecessary for Murray to risk the health of his 30-year-old winger. The 2003 third-round pick did mention he'd like to play the last four contests of the year, and we'll know by the weekend's end if that will be the case.

MacArthur (concussion) skated on the first line in Thursday's practice, Dean Brown of TSN 1200 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Zack Smith is dealing with an undisclosed ailment, which stuck MacArthur on the first line even though he hasn't been cleared for game action. The winger still hopes to know his status by the weekend's end, but the 30-year-old has to pass a baseline test before coach Dave Cameron can place him back in the lineup.

MacArthur (concussion) is hoping to be able to play in the last four games of the season, Ken Warren of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was also reported by Dean Brown of TSN 1200 that MacArthur may know his status by the weekend. The winger has yet to pass a baseline test to clear him of concussion symptoms, but it's obvious he still wants to skate this season. Even if the 30-year-old receives the green light, he most likely won't be a factor for fantasy purposes and can remain on waivers for the duration of the season.

MacArthur (concussion) has not been cleared to play, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's obviously frustrating for MacArthur, who has not seen the ice since Oct. 14. The winger's original plan was to appear in Thursday's game against the Lightning, or at the very least, sometime in early March. Unfortunately, the 30-year-old will have to wait, as his timetable is up in the air at this point. MacArthur can be safely left on waivers with the uncertainty surrounding his availability for the rest of the season.
