Chris Kreider is enjoying playing for coach Alain Vigneault.
Kreider struggled mightily under former coach John Tortorella but has found his game this season. He scored a gorgeous goal against Toronto on Saturday with a deke on the Leafs goalie and then got into his first NHL fight as he battled Dion Phaneuf. Kreider leads the Rangers with 11 goals this season and has to be considered in contention for the Calder Trophy.

Chris Kreider scored for the Rangers in their 7-1 thrashing of the Maple Leafs on Saturday night.
After being embarrassed by the Penguins the night before, the Rangers had some extra jump in their step Saturday night. With Tomas Hertl out with an injury, Kreider has the chance to really make a case for himself in the Calder trophy race. He now has a team-leading 11 goals, which is tied for second among rookies, and he has 23 points, good for third. He also had four shots on goal and a fighting major. Dominic Moore scored twice, with Brad Richads, Brian Boyle, Carl Hagelin (goal, assist) and Benoit Pouliot notching the others.

He finished the contest with six shots, three hits and four penalty minutes as well. Kreider doubled his goal output to six on the year, with his first career hat trick, and he boosted his point total to 16 in 20 outings. Rick Nash assisted on two of Kreider's three markers and he added a tally of his own for a three-point contest. If the two of them can get hot then Kreider's fantasy value will increase dramatically.
