Kreider scored a pair in a 6-1 rout of Carolina on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
These were Kreider's first goals since Nov. 6 against Columbus, snapping a five-game goal drought. He's been inconsistent on offense and his defense hasn't made up for it, as his minus-5 is the worst of his career. His owners need this to be the start of something better.

Kreider dished out an assist in 13:15 of ice time during Wednesday's 6-3 loss at Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
Kreider lifted the puck over a defender's stick on his backhand for a beautiful setup from behind the net on Mika Zibanejad's first-period goal. That assist was the power forward's first since Oct. 8, and Kreider's lackluster production has led to a reduction in ice time, as he's skated under 15 minutes in three consecutive games.

Kreider scored his fourth goal of the season during Thursday's 2-1 win over Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Kreider has scored all four of his goals in the past six games, and it appears he's putting his early-season lull in the rearview mirror. The 26-year-old winger has endless upside and offers a cross-category profile, but he's beginning to run short on time to translate his high-end talent into the same level of fantasy production. This could still prove to be a buy-low spot, though.

Kreider scored a power-play goal on one of his seven shots in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Golden Knights.
EDGE Analysis
Kreider's third-period tally ignited a four-goal rally that turned a 4-2 deficit into a 6-4 win. The power forward's strong offensive performance and ability to put the puck on net against inexperienced netminder Maxime Lagace didn't go unnoticed by coach Alain Vigneault, as Kreider skated 16:59 in this one after seeing fewer than 16 minutes in each of his previous four games.

With his team on a man advantage, Kreider found the back of the net for the first time this year in a 4-2 victory over Nashville on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Not only was it Kreider's first goal of the season, but it also snapped a five-game stretch without scoring a point. It's been a relatively slow start for the 26-year-old forward, who has scored 20-plus goals in three consecutive campaigns coming in to this season. The Massachusetts native will try to ride the momentum when he faces off against San Jose on Monday.

Kreider set up two goals -- including one with the man advantage -- in Saturday's 8-5 road loss to the Maple Leafs.
EDGE Analysis
Although the top-line winger served his fantasy owners well by dropping a career-high 53 points (28 goals, 25 assists) last season, Rangers coach Alain Vigneault has challenged Kreider to be more consistent in 2017-18. He's a dual threat in the sense that he can score and dish with aplomb, but we can see the Massachusetts native reaching the elite tier if he does in fact become more of a consistent contributor on a game-to-game basis.

Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said that he's looking to get more consistency out of Kreider this season, the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
That's not to say that Vigneault was trashing his top-line left winger, but Kreider's hot-and-cold ways have prevented him from stepping into the league's elite. As the coach noted, there are times when he absolutely takes over games with his speed, physicality and skill, but Kreider also has a reputation for disappearing for stretches of time. However, he's got all the tools you can ask for and a coach who's focused on getting the best out of him, so last season's 53 points are unlikely to stand up as his career high.

Kreider set new career highs with 28 goals, 53 points and 186 shots over 75 games in 2016-17.
EDGE Analysis
Unfortunately for the Rangers (not to mention those who chose him in fantasy pools), he didn't really carry that forward into the playoffs, netting only four points (three goals and an assist) along with 18 PIM and 30 shots through 12 games. Kreider's ice time jumped by just over a minute from the 2015-16 campaign, as he averaged exactly 17 minutes this time around, which accounts for part of his increase in production. The Rangers surely still have to be looking for more consistency from Kreider -- sometimes, he looks like an unstoppable force who could easily challenge the 70-point mark, but he also goes through stretches of being practically invisible on the ice.

Kreider scored his second goal of the postseason in Thursday's Game 4 win over the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
It was an eventful night for Kreider, who was also tagged for 10 PIM. The 26-year-old has had a quiet postseason, but he's come alive against Ottawa with two goals in his last three games. Kreider is an intimidating power forward and we are finally starting to see that combination of size and skill that makes him so efficient. Now that the Rangers have won two straight games and possess the momentum, look for Kreider to build off this recent stretch and be a key player in these final games of the series.

Kreider scored his first goal of the playoffs during Saturday's Game 2 overtime loss to Ottawa.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a tough-luck stretch for Kreider, as he entered Saturday's game with just a single assist and goalless on 15 shots through his first seven playoff games. He was a force in Game 2, though, which bodes well for his fantasy stock going forward. The Rangers will need Kreider to continue his strong play and find the scoresheet more frequently to rebound from their 0-2 deficit in the series.
