Kreider set new career highs with 28 goals, 53 points and 186 shots over 75 games in 2016-17.
EDGE Analysis
Unfortunately for the Rangers (not to mention those who chose him in fantasy pools), he didn't really carry that forward into the playoffs, netting only four points (three goals and an assist) along with 18 PIM and 30 shots through 12 games. Kreider's ice time jumped by just over a minute from the 2015-16 campaign, as he averaged exactly 17 minutes this time around, which accounts for part of his increase in production. The Rangers surely still have to be looking for more consistency from Kreider -- sometimes, he looks like an unstoppable force who could easily challenge the 70-point mark, but he also goes through stretches of being practically invisible on the ice.
