Steen appeared to injure his left arm/shoulder and was forced to leave Saturday night's 6-4 win over the Coyotes, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. The team will provide an update on his condition Monday, though Tom Timmerman of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported he was not in a sling following the game.
EDGE Analysis
Steen skated off the ice early in the first period, cradling his left arm in his right after being shoved into the boards by Arizona's Kevin Connauton, contacting the wall first with his left shoulder. After Steen left, the Blues cycled forwards to replace him on the line with Patrik Berglund and David Backes. If Steen is unable to skate Monday night against San Jose, the Blues will find a permanent replacement for him.
