Galchenyuk assisted on two goals in Thursday night's 5-4 shootout loss to Washington. It's been a long time since Galchenyuk's registered a multi-point game -- going back to Feb. 24's three-pointer against the Blues. He has just six points in the previous 18 games. Galchenyuk's game improves each year, but the Habs are expecting more from he the 21-year-old forward.

Galchenyuk scored his first goal in 12 games when he tallied his 20th of the season in Saturday's overtime win over the Panthers. It came on the power play. He's been quiet in his last 16 games, recording just four points (two goals, two assists). He has been progressively improving his offensive game each season and his 43 points this year have done just that. But we'd like to see a bigger jump next season. It'll be his fourth season, so he could flirt with 60.

Galchenyuk had an assist and one shot on goal in Saturday night's 3-1 win over the Islanders. Points have been few and far between for Glachenyuk, who has two points in the past nine games. He's also minus-6 in that run of games. Going back to the end of January, you can see three-and four-game stretches without points. With just nine points in the past 21 games, Glachenyuk's value is more future than it is present.

Galchenyuk, who'd missed the last two games due to an illness, returned to the lineup Tuesday with a two-goal, three-point, plus-3 effort against the Blues. A massive game for Galchenyuk, who scored the Habs' first two goals and later helped out on Michael Bournival's tally. He's now just a single point shy of hitting 40 for the first time, and if the young Russian can really turn things on down the stretch, he has an outside chance to hit 60 points for the season.
