Galchenyuk started Saturday night's game against Dallas on the wing but was moved to center for the third period of a 4-1 loss. The Canadiens were listless all night and getting outshot after two periods, 23-11, prompting another round of line changes from head coach Michel Therrien. With Lars Eller (upper body) sidelined Saturday and heading for an MRI on Monday, now is a good time to slide Galchenyuk to center in the interim. That's going to be his position eventually.

Glachenyuk assisted on Brendan Gallagher's first-period goal in Friday night's loss to the Blackhawks. He's registered a point in four straight games. Galchenyuk and Gallagher are now flanking Tomas Plekanec on the second line. This trio has worked well together in the past and are currently the team's most productive line.

Galchenyuk recorded his team's lone goal in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Wild. Wednesday was Galchenyuk's third straight game with a point, as the young center is continuing to prove he'll be a valuable fantasy asset for years to come. He now has six goals and 11 assists in 27 games this season.

Galchenyuk picked up a power-play assist in Monday night's 4-3 win over the Avalanche. With 2:39 of power play ice time, Galchenyuk was third on the team Monday night -- more than David Desharnais, Max Pacioretty and P.A. Parenteau. Is this a harbinger of things to come? The kid has good set up skills -- his 11 assists are tied for the team lead -- and he might better serve a man-advantage unit that ranks 24th in the NHL with a 14.3% success rate.

Galchenyuk picked up three assists in Montreal's win over Philadelphia. They were his first assists since October 18, a span of 12 games. He did have three goals in those 12, but it's clear he's still working on his consistency. The sky is actually the limit for this young center, but it may be a couple years before he delivers on that potential.

Galchenyuk scored his fifth goal of the season in Tuesday night's 3-0 win over the Jets. It was just his second point in the past nine games. Galchenyuk was part of the Habs' most productive line early on when the team jumped to a 7-1 start, but he's fallen off pace at the same time the Canadiens did. He's back on a line with Brendan Gallagher and Tomas Plekanec, a unit that's had previous success.

Galchenyuk has been moved back to left wing, the Montreal Gazette reports. Galchenyuk opened Sunday's game against Calgary at center, but was returned to left wing following a stint in the clinic after getting head butted. Head coach Michel Therrien hinted at lineup changes for Tuesday's game against the Blackhawks, but we're not anticipating Galchenyuk being inactive.

Galchenyuk posted a team-worst minus-4 rating in Sunday's loss to the Flames. The young forward has now amassed a collective minus-6 rating over his last four games, finding himself on the ice at precisely the wrong time. Fortunately, Galchenyuk has shown some growth as a scorer this season with four goals and eight points in 12 games, helping to offset the minuses he's taken of late.

Galchenyuk lined up at center between Brendan Gallagher and Rene Bourque during Saturday's practice, Hockey Inside Out reports. That line combination was established during the third period of Thursday night's overtime loss to the Canucks and produced a goal, but head coach Michel Therrien has not confirmed if this will be a line for Sunday's game against the Flames.

Galchenyuk pocketed his fourth goal of the season in Thursday's overtime loss to the Canucks. Galchenyuk was able to find twine on a tipped P.K. Subban shot attempt, giving the young winger eight points in 11 games. The tally ended a three-game pointless streak for Galchenyuk, who produced a minus-3 rating during that time.
