Adam Larsson will make his NHL postseason debut in tonight's Game 2 at Philadelphia. Ilya Kovalchuk's injury necessitated moving rearguard Peter Harrold to the wing and slotting Larsson into the blue-line rotation. The 19-year-old Swede has played only once since March 25. Larsson was 2-16-18 and avearge 20:37 in 65 games for the Devils this season.

Adam Larsson is projected to be a healthy scratch again in Game 7 Thursday night in Florida. He hasn't played in any of New Jersey's previous six contests versus the Panthers. Joining him in the press box again will be forwards Cam Janssen and Eric Boulton, as the Devils will keep the same lineup they have featured throughout the series.

New Jersey coach Pete DeBoer said that the Devils will feature the same lineup in Game 4 that the club had in Game 3. That means that rookie Adam Larsson, as well as forwards Cam Janssen and Eric Boulton will continue to serve as healthy scratches. Larsson played in one of the team's last six games during the regular season and he is yet to make his NHL playoff debut. "The Larsson question isn't really a factor," DeBoer said. "He's ready to play. We know what he can do. He's a good player. He can help us. There's no doubt."

Adam Larsson will be a healthy scratch on Friday. That's not a surprise, but until Friday, Devils coach Pete DeBoer hadn't confirmed the move. Larsson is a rookie with a ton of upside, but New Jersey isn't expected to use him too much in the playoffs. That being said, if one of their blueliners struggles or suffers an injury, then Larsson is the one that's expected to fill the void.

It looks like Adam Larsson will spend the Devils' playoff opener on Friday in the press box. That being said, Devils coach Pete DeBoer hasn't revealed his Game 1 lineup, so he could decide to surprise us. Larsson previously stated that he wasn't sure if he'd play, but he pointed out that he had to stay focused because anything could happen.

Adam Larsson isn't sure if he'll be a healthy scratch in Game 1. Larsson spent five straight games in the press box before playing in the Devils' season finale. "If not, I'm just waiting," Larsson said. "Anything can happen in the playoffs. There could be two Ds out after one game."

Adam Larsson isn't projected to play for a fourth straight time on Tuesday night, but coach Pete DeBoer hasn't made the decision to relegate the rookie defenseman to the press box for the playoffs just yet. "I'm very confident we're going to get back a motivated young man and I think a guy who is going to be a valuable part for us," said the Devils bench boss. "It's just a matter of when." Peter Harrold will continue to play in his place when the New York Islanders visit, but Larsson is remaining hopeful that he will be back in uniform soon and that he'll get a chance to play in the postseason.

Adam Larsson will spend his third straight game in press box on Saturday. "Of course. I just try to stay positive. When I get back is not up to me, so I can't really do anything except practice hard," Larsson said. "I'm not a guy who is going to show my frustration by punching a guy in the face in practice. I'm just working hard out there with Larry (Robinson) and those guys. After that it's up to them." Larsson has just 18 points this season, but he should have a significant amount of fantasy value in a few years.

Devils coach Pete DeBoer said Friday he would wait until this morning to decide whether to put rookie defenseman Adam Larsson back in his lineup for tonight's game in Carolina. Larsson has sat out the last two games as a healthy scratch - the first time this season he has watched games when uninjured. It's been a dramatic turnaround from the start of the season when Larsson, the fourth overall pick in June's NHL Draft, was playing top-four minutes and was the quarterback on the right point on the first power-play unit. That was a lot to ask of a player who was just 18 years old when the season began, and was living an ocean away from his home and family in Sweden for the first time.
