Adam Larsson spent his second straight game in the press box on Thursday. It would be unfair to call Larsson a disappointment in his rookie campaign, but he certainly has plenty of untapped potential. He has 18 points in 64 games this season, but he should have a significant amount of fantasy value in a couple of years.

Adam Larsson sat as a healthy scratch for the first time this season on Tuesday. "I know I haven't played my best game lately," said the rookie rearguard. "It's tough, but I think it's a smart decision by the coach to rest for a couple of games. I don't know how long I'll be out, but hopefully I will get back as soon as possible." Larsson, 19, has posted 18 points, 93 hits, 67 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating in 64 contests, while averaging 20:44 of ice time per game, this year.

New Jersey Devils defenseman Adam Larsson admits that he probably came back too soon fro a back injury in late February. Larsson told Ric Chere that his game's been a little up-and-down since he made that hasty comeback. It sheds some light on a common dilemma in fantasy hockey: as much as you'd like a guy to return swiftly, having him back at 100 percent often makes him a waste of a roster spot - or at least nowhere near as valuable.

Adam Larsson returned to action from his back injury on Sunday. The rookie blueliner missed 10 games with a bruised lower back and he looked "a little bit rusty," according to coach Pete DeBoer. He made two mistakes that resulted in goals against, but he finished New Jersey's 4-3 loss to Tampa Bay with an even plus-minus rating over 18:13 of ice time.

Adam Larsson (back) is questionable for Sunday's game. Devils coach Pete DeBoer wants to see how Larsson is Sunday morning before making a decision. Larsson felt he was ready to return as early as Thursday, but the Devils ultimately held him out of Friday's contest.

Adam Larsson (back) will not return to the Devils' lineup on Friday. Larsson might be back on Sunday. He said he was ready to go on Thursday and while he was disappointed by the coaches' ruling, he called it a "smart decision."

Although it's not what he's been sidelined for, Adam Larsson's wrist is feeling much better. Larsson has been out since Feb. 2 due to a back injury, but he was playing through a wrist injury at the time. His wrist was bad enough to warrant the rookie passing on the opportunity to participate in the All-Star skills competition. As previously report, Larsson's back has also improved and might return on Friday.

Adam Larsson (back) practiced on Thursday. He was paired with Bryce Salvador in the session, which indicates that he might be ready to return on Friday. "It was great (today)," Larsson said. "I'm ready to go. It was just my lower back. It was frustrating. I couldn't move. I was at home. It was boring. ... I have no idea (if he'll back on Friday vs. Vancouver). It's up to the coaches. If I could play it would be great. I want to get back to game shape." Larsson hasn't played since Feb. 2 because of a bruised lower back.

The Devils placed rookie defenseman Adam Larsson on injured reserve retroactive to Feb. 2. Larsson sustained the injury when he was hit by Montreal's P.K. Subban and will be lost for a much longer period than originally expected. Larsson has 16 points in 48 games this season.
