Doyle caught six of his 11 targets for 73 yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 13 loss to the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
Doyle benefitted from the lack of receiving options in the Colts' passing attack, leading the team in targets. He didn't work down the field much -- he did score on a 21-yard touchdown pass deep down the left sideline on a misdirection pass -- but proved to be a reliable target for Jacoby Brissett throughout the contest. He'll have a positive matchup against the Buccaneers in Week 14, though it remains to be seen whether T.Y. Hilton (calf), Parris Campbell (hand) or Chester Rogers (knee) will be back to take away targets.

Doyle hauled in three of four targets for 28 yards in the Colts' 20-17 loss to the Texans on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Doyle tied with multiple teammates for second in receptions on the night, although it led to his seventh sub-30-yard tally of the season. The veteran has no fewer than three grabs in eight of his last nine contests, but his upside is generally capped unless he finds the end zone, which he's done on three occasions overall this season. Doyle will look for better production against the Titans in a Week 13 divisional matchup a week from Sunday.

Doyle didn't have a reception or target in Sunday's win over Jacksonville.
EDGE Analysis
Doyle was bothered by a shoulder issue during practice last week but still played on 42 of the offense's 66 snaps. He went out for a pass on 16 snaps, so his lack of receptions wasn't due to any health issues. He should be be back in the mix for receptions Thursday at Houston.

Doyle (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Jaguars after practicing fully Friday.
EDGE Analysis
With both T.Y. Hilton (calf) and Parris Campbell (hand) still out and Devin Funchess (collarbone) not ready to come off injured reserve, Doyle and fellow tight end Eric Ebron should log a solid share of snaps/targets in Week 11. In last week's loss to the Dolphins, Ebron hauled in five of his 12 targets for 56 yards, while Doyle caught three of his four targets for 44 yards and a score. This Sunday, the duo will be catching passes from Jacoby Brissett, who's back from a one-game absence caused by a knee issue.

Doyle (shoulder) was listed as a limited practice participant Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Doyle sat out Wednesday's practice, so his return to a limited session Thursday has him trending toward being available for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. We'll revisit the tight end's status Friday to see if he is listed as questionable for the contest or heads into the weekend minus an injury designation.

Doyle (shoulder) returned to practice Thursday, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
EDGE Analysis
We'll circle back on Doyle's status later Thursday to see if he is listed as a limited or full participant, but his return to the field after sitting out Wednesday's session bodes well for the tight end's availability for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

Doyle didn't practice Wednesday due to a shoulder injury.
EDGE Analysis
Meanwhile, Mo Alie-Cox (hip) also missed the session, leaving Eric Ebron as the only fully healthy tight end on the Colts' 53-man roster. Doyle's status will be revisited again Thursday, by which time it should become more clear whether his absence Wednesday was maintenance-related or the result of an issue that could threaten his availability for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

Doyle converted three of his four targets into receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 10 loss to the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Doyle served as one of Brian Hoyer's primary dump-off options, catching all of his passes within close proximity to the line of scrimmage. However, he excelled after the catch to turn in long receptions of 23 and 20 yards. His most productive moment came early in the fourth quarter when he hauled in a one-yard touchdown to put the Colts ahead 12-10. While he won't be targeted deep down the field, Doyle has secured a role in the Colts' offense and now has at least four targets in each of his last four contests.

Doyle tallied three receptions on four targets for 22 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 against the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
Heading into Week 9, there was optimism that Doyle would see an increased role in the Colts' offense with T.Y. Hilton sidelined. However, that didn't come to fruition as he received only four targets -- fewer than his marks in both Week 7 and 8. His performance was salvaged only by an 11-yard touchdown early in the second quarter and he has now surpassed five targets in a game only once this season. Even in the absence of Hilton, that doesn't appear likely to change.

Doyle could see an enhanced role in the Colts' passing game Sunday against the Steelers with T.Y. Hilton (calf) ruled out for the contest and at risk of missing multiple weeks, Mike Wells of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Doyle paced the Colts with 61 receiving yards in the Week 8 win over Denver, but his fantasy upside has generally been capped throughout the season while he's split work at tight end with Eric Ebron. There could be room for both tight ends to see the field more frequently together beginning in Week 9, as the athletic Ebron's ability to slot out wide could help the Colts compensate for a receiver room otherwise lacking in high-impact talent beyond Hilton. Along with the likes of Ebron and Doyle, Wells predicts that Zach Pascal will step in as the new WR1 sans Hilton, while the Marlon Mack-led running game may also take on more prominence.
