Free agent Fred Davis will not make his scheduled visit to the Jets on Friday, and he has narrowed his choices down to the Redskins and Bills.
Redskins beat writer John Keim hears that the Bills' offer is "a little better," but not so much to where it's an easy decision for Davis. From a fantasy standpoint, we like Davis better with the Redskins. In Washington, there's a capable quarterback on the roster, and he'd easily be the No. 2 option in the passing attack behind Pierre Garcon.

Free agent Fred Davis says re-signing with the Redskins is "still an option."
"We're still talking to them too a little bit," said Davis. "So we'll see what happens." Davis has contract offers from both the Redskins and Bills, and he's on his way to visit the Jets on Friday. Washington is barely under the cap.

Free agent Fred Davis will visit the Jets on Friday as planned.
Davis is in Buffalo on Thursday, but he's not going to make that his only stop. The Bills were likely doing their due diligence and seeing where Davis was in his rehab process from the torn Achilles' before making him a legitimate contract offer. Davis did reiterate that he is "way ahead" in his recovery.

Free agent Fred Davis is visiting the Bills on Thursday and has a meeting with the Jets scheduled for Friday.
He'll visit the Jets tomorrow if the Bills let Davis get out of town. Davis is coming off of a torn Achilles', so it's possible these clubs are simply doing their due diligence and are not yet ready to make Davis a significant offer.

The Jets are scheduled to host TE Fred Davis for a free-agent visit.
The Washington Examiner's John Keim is "not sure when" the meeting will take place. Davis is in Buffalo on Wednesday, and the Bills could easily beat out the Jets if a bidding war ensued. The Redskins also want to re-sign Davis.

Free agent TE Fred Davis says he'll visit the Jets.
The Newark Star-Ledger has confirmed the Jets' interest in Davis, but not a potential visit. Davis is scheduled to visit the Bills on Wednesday. CSN Washington predicted Sunday that Davis won't sign before mid-April, but he could have a new home before the end of this week if his visits go well.

The Bills will host TE Fred Davis for a free-agent visit on Wednesday.
Davis dined with Bills execs Saturday night and will visit the club facility this week. Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Redskins remain interested in re-signing Davis and the Jets are interested, too. (This is the first time we've seen the Jets linked to Davis.) The Browns no longer appear in the running.

Free agent TE Fred Davis had dinner with Bills officials on Saturday night.
Coach Doug Marrone, GM Buddy Nix, and assistant GM Doug Whaley were all in attendance. It's the first non-Redskins or Browns nugget on Davis since free agency opened. Buffalo has been awfully quiet, but Davis would be a fine addition to the offense as a field-stretching tight end. Scott Chandler tore his ACL in Week 16, and the Bills don't have a capable in-house replacement.

Redskins beat writer Rich Tandler doesn't expect free agent TE Fred Davis to sign with a team until mid-April.
Tandler believes the Redskins have an offer on the table to Davis, and they're unlikely to budge from it because Washington isn't facing any competition for the 27-year-old's services. It would be a surprise if Davis wasn't back in D.C. for 2013.

Free agent TE Fred Davis (Achilles' surgery) says he's resumed running and his rehab is "ahead of schedule."
Davis expects to be ready for on-field drills sometime in April. "I'm good," he said. "I'm just rehabbing and working out right now. I started running a couple of weeks ago. I'm back on my pace. A little bit ahead of schedule, which is really good." The Redskins want Davis back, but only at their price.
