Allen (groin) has been ruled out of Tuesday's matchup with the Nuggets.
EDGE Analysis
Allen has dealt with both a hip and groin injury over the past couple of days after being pulled from Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers early. He'll get the night off Tuesday and will then have an extended rest prior to Saturday's tilt with Milwaukee, which could give him enough time for a full recovery. However, in his absence, James Ennis has played well and seems to be the most likely option to start at shooting guard, which should give Ennis the opportunity to see extended minutes Tuesday.

Allen is considered questionable to play Tuesday against the Nuggets.
EDGE Analysis
Allen sustained a hip injury during Sunday's game against the Blazers, but he's listed on the Grizzlies' injury report with a "right groin" designation. Details surrounding the ailment are unknown at this point, but Allen's status should be updated one way or the other after shootaround Tuesday.

Updating a previous report: Allen (hip) has returned to Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers, Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen temporarily left Sunday's game during the second quarter, but following halftime, was back with the starters. Barring any other setbacks, Allen should be good to go moving forward and doesn't appear to be in danger of missing any time in the future.

Allen suffered a right hip injury during Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers and is questionable to return, Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen missed the first three games of the season with a knee injury, but has since re-joined the starting lineup and appeared to be having a breakout game before going down with the injury. He'll likely be reevaluated at halftime, which should then give us a better indication of his availability for the rest of the game. If he's ultimately held out, he'll finish the game with eight points (2-3 FG, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and three steals over 10 minutes.

Allen started at shooting guard in Wednesday's 89-83 overtime win over the Pelicans, producing four points (1-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-5 FT), three rebounds, two steals and one assist across 28 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Allen, who missed the first three games of the season with a sore knee, has gotten off to an poor start since returning this week for both halves of the Grizzlies' back-to-back set. He's tallied a combined eight points on 3-for-15 shooting over his 47 minutes of court time, racking up seven fouls along the way. The Grizzlies place greater value on Allen's abilities on the defensive end, so his anemic production as a scorer and shooter shouldn't damage his chances of retaining a starting role.

Allen (knee) is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans, Phillip Dean of Three Shades of Blue Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen made his season debut Wednesday against the Timberwolves, but came off the bench and was limited to just 19 minutes. He'll jump back into the starting lineup Wednesday and could be in line for a slight increase in minutes while running with the top overall unit. Marc Gasol and Mike Conley are also back after taking a night off for rest, so the Grizzlies are inching closer to having everyone at full strength.

Allen (knee) is listed as probable for Wednesday's tilt with the Pelicans.
EDGE Analysis
Allen was able to play in Tuesday's matchup with the Timberwolves, but was inefficient from the field, making 2-of-7 shot attempts for four points, four rebounds, and a steal in 19 minutes. It may take a little bit for the veteran guard to shake off the rust before he's trusted with more minutes again. Allen may have a similar role Wednesday if he plays, as Vince Carter and Andrew Harrison have done a good job of filling in for him while he recovers.

Allen (knee) will be available for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves, but head coach David Fizdale is unsure of whether or not he will play, Kyle Ratke of Timberwolves.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Chances are that Allen won't play Tuesday, as typically when a coach makes a player available, that player is only used if absolutely necessary. Andrew Harrison and Vince Carter have managed to be solid in Allen's absence to start the season, so there's no particular need to rush Allen back, but even if he does the floor Tuesday, don't expect it to be for many minutes.

Allen (knee) is questionable for Tuesday's tilt with the Timberwolves.
EDGE Analysis
Allen was originally slated to return to the court on Wednesday against the Pelicans, but could see some action in Minnesota before the team heads home. If the veteran is cleared to play, expect him to see his minutes heavily monitored, as it will be his first bit of action this season. Look for a decision to be made after the team goes through pregame shootaround, with Andrew Harrison expected to fill in as needed.

Allen (knee) is targeting a return for Wednesday's matchup with the Pelicans, Sportando reports.
EDGE Analysis
If that timetable holds true, Allen is slated to miss both Sunday's game against the Wizards, as well as Tuesday's matchup with the Timberwolves. Andrew Harrison has started at shooting guard over the last two games while Allen has been sidelined, but has struggled mightily, going a combined 3-for-12 from the field and 0-for-6 from the three-point line for eight points. Vince Carter has also seen additional minutes with Allen out, but has been equally disappointing, making this a situation to potentially avoid for the time being.
