Allen will not play Tuesday against the Pelicans due to a left knee injury, Tim MacMahon of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The nature of Allen's injury has not been revealed, but it's likely the 35-year-old is battling some routine soreness. He's played in the Pelicans' last 13 contests and logged 31 minutes, his highest total in nearly two months, against the Spurs on Saturday. In Allen's absence, expect some combination of James Ennis, Troy Daniels and Wayne Selden to soak up most of his minutes.

Allen recorded 15 points (6-10 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 1-3 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 30 minutes of play in Monday's 113-93 win over the Bucks.
EDGE Analysis
Allen proved his worth in the starting lineup Monday after coming off the bench in the Grizzlies' previous three games by recording his highest point total in over a month. Perhaps most surprising was that Allen was able to connect on both of his three-point attempts in the game, which set a modest new season-high. With news coming down that high-profile, 2016 free-agent signing Chandler Parsons will be out indefinitely with a knee injury, Allen should continue to see additional work for the Grizzlies to close out the season; however, the defensive-minded stopper still should not be counted on as a daily option in most fantasy formats.

Allen will return to the Grizzlies' starting lineup for Monday's game against the Bucks.
EDGE Analysis
Allen was benched in favor of Andrew Harrison last week, with Allen averaging just 21 minutes throughout the past three games. His offensive production may improve with additional minutes, but he'll continue to serve primarily as a defensive stopper.

Allen will come off the bench during Monday's game against Brooklyn.
EDGE Analysis
It remains relatively unclear as to why Andrew Harrison will start over Allen during Monday's contest. There has been some speculation that it could be a result of the team looking for a boost on the offensive end. Allen was given the day off the last time the Grizzlies played the Nets, but the team has not mentioned anything regarding rest or limited minutes. While the 35-year-old has eclipsed over 20 minutes in each of his last five games, his status for Monday's game appears to be rather murky.

Allen will sit out Monday's tilt against the Nets for rest, Michael Wallace of Grizzlies.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Grizzlies are going up against the Nets on Monday, who have the worst record in the NBA, and are using it as an opportunity to give their 35-year-old defensive presence a game off. James Ennis will get the start in his place.

Allen will get the night off to rest during Saturday's matchup against the Timberwolves,
EDGE Analysis
The rest day was planned, as the Grizzles are playing in the second night of a back-to-back set. The defensively minded shooting guard recorded 11 points, four rebounds, one steal, and two blocks across 29 minutes in Friday's loss to the Thunder. Vince Carter figures to be in line to start in his place, while Troy Daniel should see a boost in minutes off the bench as well.

Allen was limited to two points (1-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-2 FT), seven rebounds, three steals and one assist across 35 minutes in a 112-109 loss to the Trail Blazers on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
After logging 15 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks in 35 minutes Wednesday against the Raptors, Allen saw the same amount of run Friday, even though the Grizzlies were comparably healthier for the contest with JaMychal Green (knee) and Chandler Parsons (knee) returning to action. The availability of those players may have been enough for Allen to refocus his attention primarily on the defensive end, as he saw a significant downturn in usage. With the Grizzlies finishing off a back-to-back set Saturday against the Jazz, there's a good chance Parsons sit out for rest, and while that would theoretically open up some extra offensive usage for Allen, he's still a little too volatile to trust in most cash-game lineups.

Allen contributed 13 points (6-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and 10 rebounds across 31 minutes during a 107-91 win over the Kings on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Allen obtained his fourth double-double of the season but failed to tally a single assist, steal or block in a game for the first time this season. He came into the game with at least one steal in 27 of the last 28 games. Allen isn't going to light up the stat sheet on a nightly basis, but he's having a pretty good season as his 9.9 points per game average so far this season would be his highest scoring average since the 2006-07 season, when he averaged 11.5 points per game.

Allen put up 22 points (9-10 FG, 4-8 FT), four rebounds, three assists and a steal in 25 minutes during a 110-105 win over Houston on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
This might be the most random scoring outburst of the season so far. The only part of Allen's game more notorious than his lockdown defense is his terrible offense. He's a poor ball-handler and a worse shooter, but he caught the hot hand on Friday and rode it to a win. It'd be a shock if he replicated this performance.

Allen posted 11 points (5-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds, six steals and three assists across 48 minutes in a 128-119 overtime win over the Warriors on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
While Allen's efficiency took a hit after he had gone a combined 13-of-20 (65%) from the field over the previous three games, the veteran's top-notch defense gave coach David Fizdale little reason to keep him on the bench. Thanks to playing all but five minutes of the win, Allen was able to rack up a season-high steal total to go with his third double-double of the campaign. Allen had only three double-doubles in the last two seasons combined.
