Tim Duncan will not play for the Spurs on Wednesday night, according to several Blazers reporters.
We haven't heard anything from the Spurs guys yet, but according to Chris Haynes and others, Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker are also sitting again for the Spurs, while Tiago Splitter is expected to play. Spurs reporter Mike Monroe sounds as if he expects Leonard to play, but we're guessing he's out. In any case, starting Duncan in a daily money league is always risky business, even though he'd only been 'Popped' a couple times this season.

Tim Duncan had 19 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists and a block on 8-of-19 shooting in Tuesday's win over the Clippers.
The Spurs play again on Wednesday but the Spurs are banged up and the game is not on national television. And because of those two factors, we'd be surprised if Duncan doesn't play against the Blazers tonight.

Tim Duncan scored 16 points during Saturday's 104-100 win over the Bobcats with 14 boards and two blocks in 32 minutes.
He sat out on Thursday night for some scheduled rest, which should become more common as the season goes on. Duncan did only have three games off after the break last year, but there's a good chance he can get a few more considering he's a year older and wore down in the postseason a bit.

Tim Duncan is expected to play vs. the Bobcats on Saturday.
The Big Fundamental racked up 31 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, two steals and three blocks on Wednesday, leading to a precautionary day off Thursday. He's been on fire lately and the Spurs will need his defense to contain Al Jefferson, especially if Tiago Splitter (calf) can't suit up, so make sure he's in your active lineups.

Tim Duncan (rest) will miss Thursday's game against the Nets.
Gregg Popovich is wasting no time in giving new commissioner Adam Silver a welcome present by sitting his two best players in a nationally televised game Thursday night. Coming off a double-overtime win Wednesday night, Duncan will join Tony Parker on the Spurs' bench Thursday as Pop tries to keep his big man rested and healthy for the playoffs. Tiago Splitter will stand to inherit a good chunk of Duncan's minutes, while Boris Diaw should see some extra minutes and make for an interesting play in daily leagues.

Tim Duncan is questionable for Thursday's game against the Nets.
After playing a season-high 40 minutes during Wednesday's double overtime win against the Wizards, there is a good chance that Duncan may sit for the first time in 23 games Thursday. "I'm going to play him 48 [minutes] tomorrow," Popovich said after the game. "You're making that kind of money, you've got to play." Duncan responded to his coach's 48-minute joke by saying, "I am absolutely up for that." While this sounds like two people who are both in on a joke, we'll wait until an official report before we declare Duncan out for Thursday night. If Duncan sits, Tiago Splitter would stand to gain minutes and value.

Tim Duncan got hot late and in overtime Wednesday, finishing with 31 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, two steals and three blocks on 13-of-20 shooting as the Spurs beat the Wizards in overtime.
The Spurs have now beaten the Wiz in 16 straight games and Duncan has been hot in about as many straight games for the Spurs. He's averaging 20.8 points, 12.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.2 blocks over his last five, but could be ready to get a rest from Gregg Popovich. Duncan has played in 23 straight games, last sitting out on Dec. 23, meaning it could be about time for him to get 'Popped."

Tim Duncan blocked six shots during Monday's 102-95 win over the Pelicans on Monday, scoring 21 points with seven boards, two assists and one steal in 29 minutes.
He matched his season high in blocks today and showed young Anthony Davis a thing or two about defending the rim in the win. Duncan has three 20-point games over his last five, averaging 19.2 points, 10.6 boards, 2.0 assists, 2.8 blocks and 1.0 triples on 57.1 percent from the field. He will continue to put up huge numbers at age 37 as long as he's in the lineup.

Duncan and Tony Parker (18 points, 10 assists) got hot late to lead the Spurs to the comeback win, which snapped their three-game losing streak. Duncan is killing it right now, averaging 18.4 points, 12.4 rebounds and 2.4 blocks over his last five games. Turn back the clock.
