Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili will not play against the Suns on Friday.
Duncan played 39 minutes on Thursday and there was really no way coach Gregg Popovich would have played him that much and put him back out there tonight. He'll likely get at least one more game of rest in the final week, so he's not necessarily a must-own player. Expect Boris Diaw and Tiago Splitter to pick up the slack.

Tim Duncan (rest, knee) is not expected to play in Friday's game against the Suns.
We're not worried about the knee tweak as Duncan played through it Thursday night. But given that he ended up logging a season-high 39 minutes, he's a near lock to sit out the second half of this back-to-back. Boris Diaw will likely draw the start at power forward.

Tim Duncan suffered a knee injury in the first quarter and was able to return, finishing with 20 points, 15 boards, two assists, one steal and one block in 39 minutes.
His 39 minutes were his second-highest of the season, so the smart money is on coach Greg Popovich sitting Duncan down on Friday night. The team may also sit him out in the finale on Wednesday, which means he could be looking at just two games the rest of the way. His fantasy owners should start thinking about an alternate plan.

Tim Duncan hyper-extended his right knee during Thursday's game, but he's fine and is expected to return.
The Spurs wouldn't let Duncan anywhere near the court if he were in any danger of aggravating the injury, so owners shouldn't fret unless a pessimistic update arrives after the game.

Tim Duncan played only 20 minutes in Tuesday's surprising 19-point loss to the Wolves, scoring 10 points with six rebounds, one assist and four blocks.
Duncan's per-minute numbers have been phenomenal this season and he's retained top-40 fantasy value despite playing under 29 minutes per game. With a relatively low seven DNPs this season, his value has actually increased on a cumulative basis. He's crushing pre-season expectations and is poised for another deep run into the playoffs, thanks largely to Gregg Popovich's careful season-long monitoring of his playing time.

Tim Duncan made just 5-of-15 from the field for 17 points vs. the Thunder on Thursday to go with eight boards, one assist and two blocks in 28 minutes.
His minutes dropped to 28.4 per game in March which was down from 31.0 in February. The Spurs only have one back-to-back set left this season on Apr. 10 and 11, so Duncan may only miss one more game. That said, it's possible he missed half of the remaining six games.

Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Danny Green, Kawhi Leonard and Tiago Splitter will all be active for Thursday's matchup with the Thunder.
Manu Ginobili will be rested in the second half of a back-to-back, and it's also been reported that Danny Green (foot) will not play. It never hurts to check back for possible updates prior to tip-off but Duncan, Parker and co. appear safe to keep in active lineups.

Tim Duncan is hopeful that Gregg Popovich will let him play on Thursday, since he only logged 20 minutes in Wednesday's road win.
Tony Parker, Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green also played under 30 minutes, while Tiago Splitter logged just 11 minutes off the bench, but that doesn't mean that necessarily mean that Pop will play all of them vs. the Thunder. The Spurs have won 19 games despite constant fluctuations in their roster, just another testament to their efficiency and consistency under Pop.

Coach Gregg Popovich said everyone is available to play against the Pelicans on Saturday except Matt Bonner (calf) and Danny Green (foot).
Well, this does comes as a big surprise since playing in a back-to-back against a weak team usually spells trouble for players to get rest. Fantasy owners can use this information how they like and it's still possible Pop limits his guys.

Tim Duncan shot 9-of-15 from the field for 20 points during Friday's easy 133-102 win over the Nuggets with eight boards, four assists, one steal and two blocks in 22 minutes.
Duncan didn't play in the last 17 minutes of this game and exited with the score at 81-59. The rest might have been nice tonight, but there's still a good chance he'll sit out on Saturday vs. the Pelicans.
