Maker recorded nine points (3-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and one block across 21 minutes in Saturday's 88-74 preseason win over the Mavericks.
EDGE Analysis
A minor right wrist sprain delayed Maker's preseason debut until Saturday, but the No. 10 overall pick didn't disappoint, showing a diverse game that included both touch from the charity stripe and some decent production at the defensive end. Maker is expected to begin the season as a rotation player for the Bucks to begin the season, perhaps settling into a 15-to-20-minute role as the top backup at power forward behind Jabari Parker.

Maker (wrist) will play in Saturday's preseason tilt with the Mavericks and is expected to see around 20-to-25 minutes, Chris Haynes of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
That's more of an aggressive workload than expected for Maker, who was limited for nearly a week after suffering a sprained right wrist earlier in training camp. However, it appears Maker has demonstrated enough progress in his recovery during recent practices for the Bucks to sign off on a healthy minutes count in his preseason debut. The long, lengthy Maker was somewhat of a mystery man coming into the 2016 NBA Draft after bypassing college and the overseas ranks to play for a Canadian prep school last season, but the Bucks believe the 19-year-old can claim a rotation spot to open his rookie campaign. Now that he's healthy, Maker will see plenty of run in the preseason as coach Jason Kidd looks to give him some needed experience prior to the regular season.

Maker (wrist) practiced Friday and is expected to play in Saturday's preseason game against Dallas, Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Maker suffered from the sprained right wrist a little over a week ago but has been limited in practice ever since. It looks like he is healthy enough now to at least put in some limited work in an actual game. Expect Maker to come off the bench in his preseason debut and have a minutes limit placed on him as a precautionary measure.

Maker (wrist) was limited at Tuesday's practice, CF Gardner of the Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Maker is still recovering from a sprained right wrist, which he sustained during practice last Wednesday. The Bucks will evaluate the rookie on a day-to-day basis with the hope that he'll be ready to make his preseason debut Saturday against the Mavericks.

Maker (wrist) will not play in the Bucks' preseason opener against the Bulls on Monday, Eric Nehm of ESPN Milwaukeereports.
EDGE Analysis
Maker is still battling the sprained right wrist he suffered during training camp last week, so he'll be held out as the Bucks open the preseason slate. The rookie did not participate in Sunday's intra-squad scrimmage but was able to participate in some individual drills during pregame warmups.

Maker (wrist) was able to go through some drills prior to the Bucks' team scrimmage Sunday, Frank Madden of SB Nation reports.
EDGE Analysis
Maker has yet to be cleared for full activity after spraining his wrist during the first week of training camp, but the Bucks seem optimistic that he'll be ready to go soon. He appeared to be only dunking with his left hand during warmups, however, so it may take a few more days before he's comfortable shooting with the right wrist again.

Maker had additional tests performed on his sprained right wrist and was cleared of any breaks, but he's still slated to miss a few more practices, C.F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Maker suffered the sprained wrist during practice Wednesday, but as expected, it's nothing serious. He'll remain sidelined for at least a couple more days and should be considered questionable for the Bucks' preseason opener on Oct. 8 against the Mavericks. With that said, he shouldn't miss any regular season action.

Maker sustained a sprained right wrist during Wednesday morning's practice, CF Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
The No. 10 overall pick was sent back to Milwaukee -- the Bucks are currently practicing on the University of Wisconsin campus -- for further evaluation, but the issue does not appear to be overly serious, as the team indicated Maker could return to Madison later Wednesday afternoon. Maker should be considered day-to-day until further notice.

Maker signed a rookie-scale contract with the Bucks on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 10th overall pick was highly impressive while suiting up for the Bucks in the Las Vegas Summer League, finishing with averages of 14.2 points, 9.6 boards and 1.0 blocks to earn All-NBA Summer League Second Team honors. Though Maker spent this past season at a prep school and has less experience against high-level competition than most other rookies, few can match his physical gifts. The 7-foot-1 power forward already has a reliable jump shot to accompany his imposing presence at the rim, and is expected to be a rotation player right away for the Bucks.

Maker closed summer league with averages of 14.2 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.0 block per game in five contests.
EDGE Analysis
While the Bucks bowed out in Round 1 of tournament play, Maker turned in a generally strong performance, helping to quell some beliefs that he wasn't anywhere near ready for the NBA. Of course, the rookie still has a long way to go, but he held his own defensively and used his athleticism and length to control the glass on both ends. Maker struggled with his shot -- 37.7% FG, 31.6% 3Pt -- but he knocked down six total threes, showcasing the inside-out game that intrigued Milwaukee at No. 10. It remains to be seen where Maker will fit in with the Bucks, but GM John Hammond has already stated that he envisions Maker as a rotational player.
