Maker finished with 12 points (4-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-4 FT), five rebounds, three blocks and one steal in 24 minutes Wednesday during a 104-88 loss to the Jazz.

Maker started for the second game in a row, logging 14 more minutes than he did Saturday. Both his point total and three-pointers made mark career highs. Since Maker improved drastically from his first start, it wouldn't be a shock for him to make his third straight start against the Nuggets on Friday.

Maker produced four points (2-5 FG), two rebounds, one steal and one block across 10 minutes during a 112-108 overtime loss to the Celtics on Saturday.

EDGE Analysis

Maker was moved into the starting lineup in lieu of Miles Plumlee but only received 10 minutes. Saturday's game marked just the third time this season that Maker has gotten at least 10 minutes in a game. If Maker continues to start he may begin to see a bit more minutes than this, but there's nothing from this start to get excited about.

Maker will start Saturday against the Celtics, Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe reports.

EDGE Analysis

Coach Jason Kidd was apparently impressed with Maker's performance in Friday's loss to the Raptors, where he provided eight points, two rebounds, and one block across eight minutes. Though he'll be starting, he may still not eclipse 18 minutes, which is how many minutes he logged the last time he started. Miles Plumlee will likely see decreased minutes as a result.

Maker will return to the bench for Monday's game against the Rockets.

With Jabari Parker returning to the starting lineup after being benched for Saturday's game due to a violation of a team rule, Maker will return to his usual spot on the bench. Maker's 4.9 minutes per game don't warrant ownership in almost any fantasy format.

Maker will get his first career start Saturday against the Heat

The Bucks are on a four game losing streak, and it appears that coach Jason Kidd wants to switch the rotation up, and part of that involves Maker starting in place of Jabari Parker. The 7-1 forward is hitting 50 percent of his threes in limited minutes so far this season, and he should be a threat for rebounds and blocks considering his length.

Maker contributed five points (2-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and one assist across 13 minutes during a 109-107 win over the Spurs on Tuesday.

EDGE Analysis

The season high in minutes came out of nowhere, as Maker had not seen a single minute since Dec. 31 and had not reached double-digits in minutes in a game this season before this one. Maker made both of his shots and had an assist but he will have a tough time posting significant fantasy value without even more minutes. The team is back in action Friday against the Heat, so we'll see if he is once again incorporated into the team's rotation.

Maker (coach's decision) didn't see the court in Sunday's 104-96 win over the Magic.

After the Bucks made Maker a surprising selection with the No. 10 overall pick in the draft in June, the organization indicated shortly thereafter that the 7-foot-1 power forward was expected to be a rotation option right away as a rookie. A strong summer league seemed to back up that sentiment, but after Maker proved overmatched during training camp practices and the preseason, any hopes of him being a major contributor in 2016-17 lost some steam. Though Maker remains a unique physical talent with an intriguing blend of skills, it doesn't appear he's made a case for more consistent run in the Bucks' frontcourt. He's played in just four of the team's 15 games this season, logging no more than nine minutes in any contest.

Maker did not play in the Bucks' opening-night loss to the Hornets.

Coach Jason Kidd went 11-deep with his rotation Wednesday night, but that did not include Maker, who remained glued to the end of the bench. The decision wasn't all that surprising, and it could offer a window into just how far away the Bucks believe Maker is to contributing at the NBA level on a night-to-night basis. That said, GM John Hammond said over the summer that the team expects Maker to be a part of the rotation as a rookie, so whether he can work his way into a consistent bench role remains to be seen. At this point, though, Maker holds considerably more value as a dynasty asset, as opposed to daily or season-long.

In his first start of the preseason, the rookie was a plus-16 in 19 minutes, though he didn't contribute much statistically. Maker is expected to hold a minor bench role this season as the Bucks attempt to figure out where he fits best at the NBA level.
